The Cobra MX-88 boasts the capacity to seamlessly switch between up to eight twisted pair (RJ-45) inputs to any or all eight twisted pair outputs simultaneously. This feature-rich device is compatible with HDTV signals and supports high-resolution displays up to WUXGA and 1080p, making it a versatile addition to any setup. Working in harmony with Kramer Electronics' Cobra series transmitters and receivers, the MX-88 offers an impressive system range of up to 1300 feet (400 meters). This makes it an optimal solution for transmitting computer graphics video and HDTV signals over unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cabling, such as a standard CAT5 Ethernet network cable. The robustly built Cobra MX-88 is equipped with a variety of switch control options, including serial RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 control ports via a captive screw block connector and uni-directional RS-232 to 19.2k baud serial data transport. Its high-quality video transport circuitry supports a wide range of signals including RGBHV, RGsB, S-Video, Component, YUV, HDTV, Y/C, NTSC, and PAL (model and configuration dependent). For added convenience, the front-panel controls feature Enter, Cancel, Store, and Recall buttons. Its compact standalone design can be easily mounted in a standard 19" equipment rack using the optional Cobra DM rack adapter. Incorporating Kramer Electronics' reliable signal transmission technology, the Cobra MX-88 is an ideal solution for long-distance cable distribution, making it a preferred choice for broadcast studios, presentation and multimedia applications, as well as security and military installations.
