The VM-8UX is compliant with multiple SMPTE standards, including 259M (SD-SDI), 292M (HD-SDI), 344M (ED-SDI), 424M (3G HD-SDI), ST-2081 (6G-SDI), and ST-2082 (12G-SDI). It supports a maximum resolution of 4K at 60Hz (4:2:2) 30bpp, and is capable of transmitting SDI, HD-SDI, 3G HD-SDI, 6G, and 12G SDI compliant signals.

For ease of maintenance and troubleshooting, the VM-8UX features LED indicators that display the status of transmitted SDI data rate of input and output connected signals. The compact DigiTOOLS fan-less enclosure allows for easy installation in small footprint spaces, over-ceiling mounting, or side-by-side rack mounting.
