This device is capable of handling up to 12G of transmitted data rate, making it an ideal choice for professionals seeking superior signal quality.The VM-8UX is designed with an auto-adapting feature that adjusts to the data rate of one SDI input signal. It then equalizes and re-clocks the signal to enhance the reach of the transmitted signal. This process is repeated across eight identical SDI outputs, ensuring consistent signal quality across all channels.One of the key features of this distribution amplifier is its reliable wire connectivity. The device uses lockable BNC connectors to secure coaxial broadcast-grade cables, effectively preventing unintentional wire disconnections. This feature ensures fast and professional distribution of uncompressed SDI signals.The VM-8UX also boasts an extended-reach input extension. This feature equalizes the input signal and re-clocks output signals to achieve an extended signal reach. When used with Kramer's high-quality coaxial SDI cables, this device can support signal extension of up to 300m for SD signals, 200m for 1.5G HD signals, 100m for 3G and 6G HD signals, and 80m for 12G 4K signals.The VM-8UX is compliant with multiple SMPTE standards, including 259M (SD-SDI), 292M (HD-SDI), 344M (ED-SDI), 424M (3G HD-SDI), ST-2081 (6G-SDI), and ST-2082 (12G-SDI). It supports a maximum resolution of 4K at 60Hz (4:2:2) 30bpp, and is capable of transmitting SDI, HD-SDI, 3G HD-SDI, 6G, and 12G SDI compliant signals.For ease of maintenance and troubleshooting, the VM-8UX features LED indicators that display the status of transmitted SDI data rate of input and output connected signals. The compact DigiTOOLS fan-less enclosure allows for easy installation in small footprint spaces, over-ceiling mounting, or side-by-side rack mounting.
