An advanced piece of technology, the VP-778 8-Input Presentation Matrix Switcher/Scaler, is designed to deliver seamless video cuts and 4K30 output support. This device can be configured as a single 4K output, delivering Ultra High Definition visuals at 30Hz (3840x2160), or as a dual HD scaler with full Picture-in-Picture (PiP) capabilities.

The VP-778 is equipped with the capability to scale to two independent HDMI outputs, each accompanied by a parallel HDBaseT output. It incorporates both analog and embedded audio inputs and outputs, along with audio Digital Signal Processing (DSP) features. This switcher/scaler also includes two microphone inputs and digital & analog balanced stereo and amplified speaker outputs for comprehensive audio control.

Control of the VP-778 is versatile, with options including built-in web pages, RS-232, and IR. The VP-778 supports a variety of projection setups including front, back, ceiling front, and ceiling back. It can deliver output resolutions up to 4K at 30Hz UHD (3840x2160) in single-window mode, HDTV, and computer graphics resolutions with selectable refresh rates.

Inputs can be selected from HDMI, VGA, YUV, or CV on two DVI-U inputs, 4 HDMI, and 2 HDBaseT inputs. It also features two programmable user buttons for passing serial commands and a serial comms matrix for up to eight sets of configurable unidirectional connections for passing serial data from source to destination.

The VP-778 utilizes HDBaseT Technology with a maximum data rate of 6.75Gbps (2.25Gbps per graphic channel). Its system range (HDBaseT) extends up to 130m (430') in normal mode and up to 180m (590') in ultra-mode (1080p at 60Hz at 24bpp) when using BC-UNIKAT cables.

For optimal audio performance, the VP-778 includes balanced stereo audio inputs, two microphone inputs, digital stereo and balanced stereo outputs, input/output audio level adjustment, and audio DSP. It also features a built-in 2x10W power amplifier for speaker outputs on a 4-pin terminal block connector, and microphone talkover or mix modes.

Additional features include auto switching, advanced de-interlacing, built-in Proc-Amp, power management modes, luma and chroma-keying, advanced EDID management, built-in test patterns, output EDID analysis, on-screen display (OSD), non-volatile memory, firmware upgrade input via USB memory stick, and various control options.
