The Kramer Electronics WP-121 15-Pin HD & Stereo Over Twisted Pair Transmitter converts input video signals to twisted pair signals using twisted pair cables (UTP/STP) at resolutions up to UXGA and 1080p. When used with a compatible receiver, the transmitter can send signals up to 320' (100 m). In addition, the transmitter is compliant with the HDTV video system standards.
With EDID (extended display identification data) capture, the twisted pair transmitter copies and stores EDID information and avoids compatibility issues with the connected display later. Using the Power Connect System, a single power connection can be used to power both transmitter/receiver units, when the devices are located within a distance of 150' (50 m).
