Why settle for less when you can have the Klark Teknik 76-KT Classic FET-Style Compressor This high-quality, professional-grade audio equipment is designed as a tribute to the iconic 1176LN. Every effort has been made to ensure that this compressor remains true to the original D and E versions of this legendary signal processor.
The 76-KT FET-Style Compressor boasts a completely discrete signal path, modernized with hand-selected components and custom-engineered MIDAS input and output transformers. This innovative design ensures the ultimate in pristine sonic performance, making it a versatile choice for any recording studio or live performance setting.
Operating the 76-KT is sublimely easy. The compression ratio can be selected by pushing any, or all, of the Ratio buttons located to the left of the VU meter. With ratios of 4:1 for moderate compression, 8:1 for severe compression, 12:1 for mild limiting, and 20:1 for hard limiting, you have complete control over your sound. The "All-Button" mode is particularly effective for drums, bass, guitar, room mics, or for more aggressive vocals.
The 76-KT's Attack knob adjusts the compressor's response time to audio that exceeds the threshold, while the Release knob controls how long the compressor remains engaged after the incoming audio falls below the threshold. Both knobs offer a range of response times, allowing for precise control over your audio output.
In homage to the original processor, the 76-KT features an illuminated, vintage-style VU meter for visual confirmation of gain reduction and output levels. The meter reading corresponds to an output level of +4, +6, or +8 dBm, depending on which button is engaged.
Built to withstand the rigors of live concert touring, the 76-KT is housed in a rugged steel 2U rackmount enclosure. It features premium Neutrik XLR connectors to ensure reliable audio connections, night after night. The 76-KT also features an auto-ranging universal switch-mode power supply, making it suitable for use worldwide.
Experience the superior sound quality and durability of the Klark Teknik 76-KT Classic FET-Style Compressor, a testament to the brand's commitment to producing innovative and high-quality audio equipment.
