Where professional audio quality and robustness are paramount, the DN200 V2 2-Channel Active DI-Box shines. Esteemed by both audio engineers and musicians, this DI-Box delivers high headroom, dynamic response, and sonic clarity, faithfully reproducing the nuances of both electric and acoustic instruments.
Designed for professional applications, the DN200 V2 is compatible with +48 V phantom power, a standard feature on all mixing consoles. Its innovative design boasts a significantly higher clipping point than many other active DI Boxes, accommodating much higher-level input signals without the need for an attenuating pad. This increased headroom, coupled with a very low noise input circuit topology, offers a wide dynamic range, requiring only the -20 dB pad when connecting to instrument amplifier outputs or other high-level signal sources.
Constructed to withstand the rigors of touring, the DN200 V2 is encased in a thick aluminum extrusion, further protected by tough silicone rubber corners. This ensures the longevity of the electronics within, even in the most demanding environments.
The DN200 V2 features balanced transformer-isolated outputs, selected after exhaustive listening tests with a variety of active and passive bass guitars, electro-acoustic guitars, and electronic musical instruments. The audio transformer and surrounding components were carefully chosen to deliver the best musical sound, with the line-driving characteristics of the transformer output optimized for the best frequency and phase responses.
The DN200 V2 also features dual-impedance stereo inputs, designed using advanced analogue techniques to create the high input impedance required by passive guitar and bass pickups, while keeping component values low to minimize noise. This results in a very low noise floor and an unrivalled dynamic range for a +48 V phantom powered DI Box.
For added convenience, the DN200 V2 features illuminated -20 dB Pad and Earth Lift switches, as well as illuminated Sum and Split switches. These, along with the +48V phantom power indicator LED's, provide a clear status display, even from a distance. The Sum switch allows stereo input signals to be combined into a mono signal, while the Split switch sends the L input to both the L and R output XLR's.
The DN200 V2 is also equipped with a Stereo input mini jack, ideal for connecting MP3 players or mobile phones. The 1/4" TRS Link Thru jacks can be used for a parallel input connection to a guitar or bass amplifier.
Designed for the road, the DN200 V2 features a tough aluminum extrusion and protective rubber corners, ensuring its durability and electrical isolation. Premium Neutrik XLR connectors are used to ensure reliable audio connections, making the DN200 V2 a reliable choice for professional audio applications.
