KP14VCCR - Mighty Boom Pole 14', 5-Section, Carbon, Removable Headpiece, Internal Coiled Cable with KPCCR Bottom Module, Boompole
The KP14VCCR Mighty Boom Pole has a collapsed length of 48" (121.92 cm) and an extended length of 14'4" (4.39 m) and lightweight at 2.68 lbs (1.22 kg). This 5-section boompole features a removable headpiece for cable reconfiguration without soldering. The top attachment is a 3/8" - 16 Male thread. Included is a coiled cable with Mighty Boom Right Angle connector (KPRCF) and bottom Male 3-pin XLR side exit (KPCCR).
The locking collars feature a thick yet smooth surface allowing for a more subtle gradual extension of each section. The anodized, oval divots with exterior dimples provide a firm grip and smooth feel when opening and closing each collar. The finish between the tubes allows for the sections to glide open and closed. Additionally, K-Tek Mighty Boom poles are hand-burnished to diffuse handling noise.
To allow for quick conversion when working in the field, the KP14VCCR is compatible with the KPTA Transmitter Adapter Module and KPTF Flow-Thru Module. All K-Tek Boom Poles are manufactured in the USA, with in-house support & repair.
- XLR Right Angle Connector -
Low Profile Mighty Boompole Right Angle Connector (Female) with clockable angle orientation and cable labyrinth strain relief. The K-Tek Mighty Low-Profile Right-Angle Connector combines all field demands for a low profile right angle connector in one unit.
Designed around a Neutrik connector (with Gold Contacts) the KPRCF features full rotation of the 90 degree tail. The tail is clockable using two set screws at 30 degree increments. The full metal design ensures maximum RF blocking resulting in undetectable RF penetration in extreme laboratory conditions.
An extensive strain relief, using a labyrinth design, ensures a strong strain relief while optimizing cable health by removing a single pinch point by using a friction-over-distance concept. The strain relief channel has an inside diameter of 0.17 inch (4.25 mm).
This design is optimized for quick and easy install and service. Easy access for fast soldering are combined with simple assembly; making this connector superior for DIY upgrades while offering serviceable in the field.
The KPCF is perfect for the new K-Tek Mighty Boompole double-shielded coiled cable.
- XLR Side Exit -
Bottom attachment for The Mighty Boompoles: a Male 3-pin XLR Side Exit with removable Rubber Bumper. Cable Kit (KPCK9,KPCK12, KPCK16, KPCK20) is needed with TA3F that plugs right into the KPCCR. Once the cable kit is dropped through the top of the Mighty boompole and plugged into the module the bottom module simply screws onto the threaded sleeve at the base of the 6 section Mighty boompoles. No soldering needed. Made in the USA.
The KPCCR is a 3" module of machined aluminum with black anodizing and the Male 3-pin XLR. It has a sleeve and collar on top to fit into any of the New Mighty boompoles. It weighs 8.7 oz (248 g) which also gives a bit of a counterweight on the backside of your boompole.
