The addition of a sixth section and wider tubes increases stiffness and optimizes handling balance, resulting in quicker cuing and more user control of the microphone.

The locking collars have been improved with a thicker yet smoother surface, allowing for more subtle, gradual extension of each section. A new anodizing process combined with a change from exterior dimples to oval divots provides a better grip and smoother feel when opening and closing each collar.
