Lightweight and fine for casual birding

I wanted binoculars that were so small that I would never leave them behind. They are quite packable and lightweight around my neck. The image and brightness are fine for hiking and birding. I have not used them in low light or for astronomy yet. Other reviews said that Kowa put better prisms and full coatings on all of the optical surfaces. I have good quality components at a budget price and am delighted. My next purchase will probably have bigger objectives for serious birding.

Missing Caps

Binoculars are light and easy to use - very clear to see. The 2 caps I received for the eye ends of the binoculars are the wrong size. They are useless for these binoculars. i would have given a 5-start rating were it not for this problem. (the caps for the other end fit just fine).

The Kowa YF 6x30 Porro Prisms Binocular has high end optical features at a low end price. Full multi-coating ensures crisp, clear images with maximum brightness. The optical enhancements were engineered in without sacrificing the nitrogen filled waterproofing and fogproofing. A stylish and smooth, curving body design with appropriately placed hand-holds make this binocular a visually pleasing item both to look through and look at. Twist-up eyecups customize the binocular to personal preference with or without eye or sunglasses and rubber armoring provides a secure and comfortable grip, as well as added shock-resistance.
