What is a production cart?

A production cart is a wheeled cart that’s used to store, carry, and move equipment for TV and film production, from cameras and lights to props, make-up kits, and costumes. These versatile carts prove their worth in other areas, too. They’re fantastic when it comes to keeping equipment organized and saving space.

Don’t write them off if you don’t work in TV or film, either. These carts are invaluable in any industry where moving and storing hardware is a common chore. They come in all kinds of categories, too, giving you plenty of choices for ramping up your functionality.

What kind of production carts are available?

Most production carts fall into the stock cart category. These versatile products come from companies like Studio Carts, Backstage, and Odyssey, and they form the backbone of TV and movie sets around the world.

Adorama carries carts of every size, from basic models to larger units with higher weight limits and adjustable shelving. Some film equipment carts fold into different configurations to suit challenging filming environments, and others fold flat for easy storage.
