Inputs: Female 3-pin XLR-type connectors accept signals from low-impedance (150 Ohms nominal) mic or similar sources. Input impedance (with 1.0 kOhms load on OUTPUT): approx. 150 Ohms
Output : Male 3-pin XLR-type connector provides floating transformer-isolated low impedance output to feed mixer input. Recommended load impedance: 1kOhms
REV/POL: Reverses polarity of INPUT 2 to compensate for phase cancellation from acoustical conditions or mic placement, or provide special effects.

Take your audio mixing capabilities to the next level with the Pro Co Sound MC2 Microphone Combiner. This essential piece of audio equipment is designed to seamlessly integrate two low-impedance microphone signals, or similar sources, into a single output without the need for separate equalization or level control. Ideal for both musical performances and commercial sound applications, the MC2 is the perfect solution for managing multiple microphones when mixer channels are limited.
Whether you're looking to combine microphones for dual bass drums, percussion, or stereo guitar amplifiers in a live or studio setting, the MC2 excels in delivering a unified audio output. It's also invaluable for public speaking events, ensuring speaker redundancy and facilitating audience participation with additional microphones.
The MC2 boasts transformer isolation, which effectively minimizes interference from electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference, as well as ground loops. This feature ensures that the common-mode noise rejection benefits of balanced lines are maintained, resulting in a cleaner, clearer audio signal.
Equipped with industry-standard 3-pin XLR-type connectors for both inputs and the output, the MC2 ensures easy setup with standard microphone cables. Additionally, one input features a REV/POL switch to reverse polarity, allowing you to easily correct any acoustical or electrical phase cancellation issues that may arise from less-than-ideal microphone placement.
The heart of the MC2 is the Pro Co MBT-2 transformer, which guarantees a floating, low-impedance output with a wide, flat frequency response ranging from 20Hz to 20kHz. This ensures ultra-low distortion and preserves the integrity of transient responses, avoiding any ringing or overshoot that could degrade the audio quality.
Durability is a key aspect of the MC2's design. The robust Uni-box enclosure is constructed from extruded aluminum side channels and 16-gauge steel top, bottom, and end plates, offering superior protection for the switches and connectors against accidental damage. The steel construction also provides excellent magnetic shielding for the transformer, safeguarding against electromagnetic and radio-frequency fields.
High-quality connectors and switches are built to withstand the rigors of remote broadcast and recording operations, ensuring reliable, trouble-free service even in the most demanding situations. With the Pro Co Sound MC2 Microphone Combiner, you can trust in a professional-grade tool that will enhance your audio mixing and recording experiences.
