Difficult to identify / remove protective covers.

The cable comes with clear plastic protective covers over the tips. Unfortunately, it is not obvious that they are covers. Unless you already know what the tip should look like, you don't know whether to pry the covers off or not. They do not slip off easily; you have to pry them off. The plug fits into a female recepticle with the cover on, but will not seat all the way. One is inclined to try to force it in further to seat it, which might break the female lens/tip. I almost broke a fingernail removing one of the covers. There are no hints on the package telling you to remove the covers before use.

Excellent alternative to pricey cables

This cable works as well as its pricier competitors. Hooked up seamlessly, no audible feedback, static or interference is noted.
