Where precision and performance are paramount, the Digiflex 1655 AES/EBU Audio Delay stands out as a versatile digital audio processor. Designed to seamlessly integrate into an AES or analog audio path, this device offers a customizable delay range from a minimal 6.25 milliseconds up to a substantial 2 seconds, adjustable in 1 millisecond increments. This flexibility makes it an ideal solution for rectifying lip sync errors often resulting from image processing delays in broadcast operations.
The Digiflex 1655 is equipped with an eight-character display, providing clear visibility of the function currently under adjustment. User-friendly controls, including a rotary encoder and two push-button switches, facilitate easy adjustment of delay settings and input type. The 'Enter' button is used to select a function, while the 'Escape' button allows for swift transition to another function.
This AES/EBU Audio Delay is compatible with a variety of rear cells, including the standard 1055, as well as the 1016 and 1017 models. These options enable the device to provide both audio delay and audio distribution for AES. The 1655/1055 model can also up-convert from Analog to AES and down-convert AES to Analog, ensuring all outputs are present regardless of the input selected.
The Digiflex 1655 operates harmoniously within the model 1000 DigiFlex frame and includes a rear cell with inputs for both analog balanced and AES. This rear cell is externally switchable for either balanced or unbalanced inputs. The device's compatibility with other rear cells allows for the simultaneous provision of audio delay and audio distribution within the same unit.
Supporting AES sample rates of 32 KHz, 44.1 KHz, and 48 KHz, the Digiflex 1655 offers the flexibility to select the output sample rate when converting from analog to AES. This device can accommodate up to ten modules within the 1000/2 frame with dual power supplies, setting a new industry standard for unmatched performance in audio delay and distribution.
