My old computer was old, dirty, slow. I am so thankful for a chance to own a new computer. This one is faster, cleaner, and new. Much lighter and larger.

Not great not bad. Not as many ports, no SD card reader. took a long time to set up and remove some things like cloud. Did make a few of my old programs work, but not the same way. Only bought it because my last on outlasted it's operating system.

I wanted a budget computer just to see what it would be like owning. But the design is absurdly poor. 1.) The scroller and up and down arrows are so slow I could take a shower and make dinnner before the thing gets halfway down the page. 2.) There is no keyboard backlight. Why is this horrible device flaw not highlighted when we 'customize' this albatross? I had to order those USB plug lights (using it now for the first time) and writing/using the computer with this light burnishing a portion of the screen does not make it easy or enjoyable to do any work or research. 3.) The keyboard is weird- basically any letter you hit- if you don't release it immediately- then a second repeat letter shows up. Proof reading is essential and the computer (I just typed this and two M's showed up) does not seem to recognize this flaw. This is a very basic computer and unless you are a 12 year old or really economically drained, this computer is not going to be of much use. (While I typed the last two sentences, four times letters 'magically' duplicated themselves, until I deleted them.)

I purchased this laptop to replace an ancient Windows 10 laptop whose OS was no longer supported, and which was becoming impossibly cluttered with extraneous software. It has served this purpose very well, and I am pleased with my purchase. I especially like that Office 2024 was pre-loaded on the machine as I requested when I purchased it, so I can get Office functionality without a subscription. BUT, I have some reservations and quibbles: (a) manufacturing quality seems cheap -- there is a loud click when I close the laptop which makes me think something may break physically before long; (b) the built in process to rip CD's through Windows Media Player (both new and "Legacy") is for some reason unable to look up metadata (album name, artist, track titles) through external databases, as it could do on my old machine, so I am using 3rd-party software for this purpose; (c) the printed documentation is not specific to this model, so it refers to ports and features which this model does not have -- I find that confusing. I expect to find other 2nd-order glitches such as these as I continue to use the laptop.

I'm really happy with this HP computer. It works great, runs smoothly, and the large screen is a huge plus. I originally purchased it so I could edit videos for our comedy YouTube channel, Still Married Somehow, and the big screen makes a noticeable difference. The extra viewing space makes editing easier, clearer, and much more enjoyable-especially when working with timelines and fine details. Overall, it's been a great purchase and exactly what I needed for video editing and everyday use.

I was excited when I bought this for the Big Friday Sale at a great discount. Looking at the specs when I purchased this I figured I could put both of my SDDs in and start without reconfiguring. But NO!!!! For some stupid reason HP does not allow one to installl a 2.5" sdd even though it has a slot for it. WHY????? It also has what appeared to be a nice CPU from Intel that was capable of a nice increase in speed by overclocking,,,,,,but NO again. HP disabled any overclocking so I'm stuck at the slowest speed for this computer. Looking at what I thought was a great deal turns out to be a bust. Why put these things together and not use thier capabilties. I will look elswhere for my next machine. Also it doesn't appear that they have fixed the hinge issue I had on my last 2 HP computers. They alway break. Not a happy camper.

Thankful for my daughter who is tech savvy. At 75 years of age and with age-related macular this one's going to last me and help me

I have been a long time HP user and have been very satisfied with their products. Set up of my laptop took a little time but went smoothly with the instructions that popped up on the screen. I use my laptop everyday for various things. I look up information, play a couple games and for many things day to day.

I customized my laptop & I got everything I wanted except the touch screen. The highest pixel was (1600 x 900). I wanted the touch screen to be (1920 x 1080), but I'm still very satisfied with the purchase.

Less than two weeks out of the box the computer started doing restarts. Would not download updates. Would not do resets. Restarts continued to increase in frequency. Memory Module 64 failure identified in test mode. One month out I finally was able to speak to a tech. who said it needed to be sent in for repair. Very disappointed. I had purchased an HP laptop in 2024 that also had to be sent in for repair. I am a long time HP customer.....this might be my last.

The camera does not support Windows Hello. The laptop was purchased primarily for someone who needed easy accessibility, of which the Windows Hello was important. I did not bother getting past this setup issue, so I cannot give an appropriate review. Please be aware the HP specs do not specifically address that Windows Hello is not supported.
