Major battery problems with parasitic drain when off. 100% battery to below 50% in four days while the tv is off! To charge it with usb-c takes over 20 hours. Is this normal for this tv? It makes it unusable unless on the stand and close to an outlet. Great idea. With some tweaking, the picture can be decent if you have reasonable expectations given the specs. The stand rolls well. The cover/case also works well (except you have to remove two rubber insert feet which can be lost). But if you ever want to use it on a desk or table without the stand and ac charging, this is what happens. You have 100% charge. A few days later, you turn it on and only have 50 ish % charge. You use it as a monitor or a wired tv and it drains in an hour and a half. You plug it in to charge via usb-c and have to wait a full day after only using it for 90 minutes. Unless I have a defective unit, this battery tech feels like it's from 12 years ago. It's unacceptable. Such a good idea and a unique product in the market. I would happily pay more if it just worked.

I purchased the LG StandbyME TV in July because I loved the concept-its portability, touchscreen features, and the convenience of being able to move it around my home. Unfortunately, I've barely been able to enjoy any of those features because the TV has been defective from the start. The very first problem was physical: the port needed to connect the cable was damaged right out of the box. I couldn't use the TV as intended at all. After waiting weeks for a technician, LG finally sent someone, but they arrived with the wrong part and took the entire TV to their shop. By the time it was returned weeks later, it still didn't function properly. Then an even bigger issue developed-the TV stopped holding a charge. One of the main reasons I bought the StandbyME was for its cordless, portable design, and that feature became completely useless. The problem quickly escalated from not charging, to randomly shutting off, to the TV no longer turning on at all. At this point, the StandbyME is nothing more than a piece of furniture; the TV simply does not work. Now I have a practically new StandbyME TV that: cannot charge cannot operate cordless shuts down randomly and now will not turn on at all Not one of the features that make this product appealing is working. I truly loved the idea of the StandbyME, but I cannot recommend it based on my experience. The product failed in every meaningful way.

I ordered this and received a broken screen three days with customer service trying to get a resolve was disconnected twice after two hours on hold. my only option is to return the item and repurchase - but not at the original price I bought it at. but a 100 increase plus tax. On top of that to return this 6 foot heavy box I have to take it to FED ex myself or pay for a pick up. we have many LG products and never had to deal with this incompetence of their customer service team . You just can't make this up. and reading other reviews it seems like this is just how they operate their 2nd tier company - I think their larger items must have a different operation because our washers and dryers are awesome and the customer support team is on it. but the support for this 800 dollar TV useless and not rational. incompetence to say the least. I guess I will not reorder this item and look for a different brand. what a shame...

I've had the StanbyME 2 for just over a month now, and I genuinely can't imagine going back. I know that sounds dramatic, but hear me out. The whole point of this thing is that it moves with you - and it actually delivers. In the morning, it's by my bed so I can catch up on news while waking up. By evening, I roll it over to the couch for movies. And when I'm cooking? It's right there in the kitchen showing me recipes at eye level. No more propping up my phone or squinting at a tablet. What surprised me most is how smooth and effortless it is to move around. It glides so easily - repositioning it is effortless. The touchscreen is also super responsive - feels natural, like using a giant tablet. The freedom of not being tied to one spot in your home is something I didn't know I needed. It sounds like a small thing, but it genuinely makes daily life more comfortable. It's one of those rare purchases where the reality matches the hype.

The web browser is very very slow. The battery only lasts 4 hours. They could have done a better job of design by having it able to access the google play store. You are limited to what apps you can download. There are only a few apps that support the WEBOS.

This product did not work. There was sound, but no picture. Customer service was very bad: toubleshooting determined it needed to be replaced & I wanted to do an exchange, but the only option was to return & reorder. They then didn't want to honor the original price that I paid (they want me to pay more now!). I wasted a lot of my time trying to troubleshoot and then do the exchange - and was given the runaround by customer service. This product is definitely not worth it.

I am extremely disappointed with my LG TV purchase. I ordered a brand new TV, but what arrived was clearly an open-box item. I immediately contacted LG and explained that I purchased a new television, not a used or returned one, and requested a return label. I decided to set it up to see if it worked, but the remote didn't respond, and the touch controls on the TV also didn't function after turning it on. I contacted LG several times and was told to wait for a return label - but it's now been over a month (since August), and I still haven't received one. This entire experience has been frustrating and unacceptable. I trusted LG's brand reputation, but this experience shows a complete lack of quality control and customer support. If this is how they handle customers who receive defective products, then LG doesn't deserve to operate as a trusted electronics brand.

I had the first StandByMe and like it, but it's heavy! I think it's 28 pounds where this one is only 10. I'm happy with this - it's what you should expect if you know anything about these televisions. I wish the resolution was better, but the technology isn't there for a battery powered TV of this size. My only suggestion is that they should include the carry strap because it's awkard to move around off that stand if you don't have it. I'd buy it again!

This thing is horrible. Delivered not even working. Screen quality is horrific (not a glossy screen). I've been on the phone and online chat probably for a combined 4 hours. LG departments don't speak to each other well. They said they'd work on a refund, then they lied, then twitter says one thing, phone person yells another thing. They say they'll call back and never do. I don't even have a return label (after they said they'd work on a returnless refund). DO NOT BUY THIS - CRAPPY PRODUCT THAT DOESN'T WORK AND CRAPPY COMPANY!
