The five-pin XLR connectors on the Whirlwind CatdusaDMX are unique because they provide a dedicated way to use Cat5 or Cat6 Ethernet cables for transmitting DMX lighting control. This is different from the conventional three-pin connectors.
The conversion from five-pin to three-pin can be achieved by using a standard Catdusa box at one end. The CatdusaDMX box has pins 4 and 5 of the XLR connectors not wired, enabling four universes.
The two RJ45 jacks on the Whirlwind CatdusaDMX are wired in parallel and are provided for daisy-chaining applications. This allows you to expand your setup easily.
The bidirectional signal configuration on the Whirlwind CatdusaDMX means that each circuit is equipped with both male and female five-pin XLR connectors. This allows for easy setup of signals in both directions.
The Whirlwind CatdusaDMX reduces signal interference by utilizing the four twisted pairs of the Cat cable in its four circuits. This design ensures optimal signal transmission.
