I had been looking for this on Amazon, and thought since they didn't have it it wasn't available. This is the only night vision device I will ever spend money on. I have spent $300 on ones where the zoom magnification destroys the field of view so much that I got no use at all. Another problem with others is the brightness of the display is so bright that I was better off just turning it around and using them as a flashlight. The Carson product is 1x and just the right amount of brightness. I use it on my deck, which overlooks my backyard in New Mexico. I am into astrophotography, and my dog is out there with me when he hears coyotes getting too close I need a way to see what's down in the yard, which extends to about 120 feet away. The Carson NVM is perfect for this, so I guess hunting consumers need something else. But I don't want or need any zoom and I have installed IR lights that can be on without ruining our dark skies here. The view through this little gadget has made my hobby a fun, enjoyable time with my dog. Astrophotography is an extremely difficult thing to pull off --- trust me, it isn't easy at all. I'm so glad I found a way to have fun again every night with my dog, since adorama has it in stock

It's only about 2x3 " in size, but you are able to see in the dark even though into a narrow and slightly diminutive range of about 50 to 75 ft clearly, In other words, don't expect it to bring objects closer, in fact they seem even a bit farther away. For me, I could appreciate the technology, but I was hoping to get the picture magnified a little. Not good for my purposes.
