When shooting in wide angle, the leaflets of the cap show up on the image in the corners. I returned it.

When using the zoom function, upon retraction, the "wings" hang-up on the flange of the lens causing a lens retraction error and shut down.

I use this on some used Konica AR lenses I bought for my MIcro 4/3 camera. It is good quality and has a snug fit.

This cap works perfectly on the Lumix LX-5, and is a big improvement over the regular cap. It probably doesn't provide as much protection against small particles (like sand), but I am seldom in such conditions anyway. Otherwise, it sure makes the camera easier to use!

I don't know why these auto lens caps were not included by the manufacturer. They are massively convenient and terrific value and look great as well.

I bought the Samsung EX2F for my hiking trips. I want something better than my iPhone cam. This auto lens cap works very well. Before, I have to use both hands to take the cap off befor taking a shot. With this auto lens cap, I can operate the camera with one hand. Cons: 1) the flaps caused a very slight shadow...2) This lens cap does not seal the lens completely as the factory orignal one would. There are gaps in between flaps... Otherwise, it would be a 5-start rating.

I like my G1X, but have hated the lens cover - very cumbersome and subject to being misplaced. Canon should have come up with a lens cap like. This one works well. My only concern is for the somewhat fragile nature of its construction. It will not take being knocked around, but for the several dollar price tag it is a real bargain. I highly recommend it for serious users of the G1X. You might order two, just in case one is damaged along the way.
