Very high quality bag. Obviously the company who makes this bag cares about quality. There's some padding in the bag but I wouldn't call it well padded. I like the classic look.

You can customize the main compartment to suit your needs. Quality products like this are becoming rare. I bought other " recommended bags "& returned them for lack of quality and usefulness. I'm not a professional photographer but I like a quality bag. I now understand why this has been the "brand" of professional photographers since the 1970s.

This bag is made of very high quality materials, but that's where the positives end. I had expected a beautifully designed and manufactured bag that would be easy to use. What I found was a highly padded leather/fabric bag that was a major pain to open, to pack, and to close. I'm in and out of my stuff all the time and the leather "snap over" connects on the outside are reason enough to avoid this bag. At the very least check it out in person before ordering. [...] You'll be much better off with a less expensive and more intelligently designed bag.

This is a very durable and compact camera bag that can provide ample protection for you gear. Although it is more expensive than the other brands, you get what you pay for.

I have owned dozens of camera bags over the past 30 years. I have kept 2 of them. The Domke and the Billingham, both are great bags, but the Billingham provides a sense of security like no other.
