This is the best addition to my D610 since Nikkor lenses. The extra battery life is important to me for longer shooting times and the vertical shooting hold is ideal.

I bought this new with the D610, and a second EN-EL15 battery. It has a solid feel when connected to the body. Feels good in the hand. And the controls are well placed. No awkward reaching for controls. I especially appreciate the location, and functionality of the selector control. Two faults. (At least in my mind) 1) It only holds one battery. I shot almost exclusively in RAW mode. And when shooting, for most of the day. Would prefer two batteries in the grip. As it stands. To use two batteries. One must be in the body. It is a nuisance to have to remove the grip to access the second battery in the body. Also, the optional AA battery holder is not very effective, in my mind. Just give me two EN-EL15, in the grip. If someone at Nikon actually reads these reviews. Two batteries in the grip would be nice. 2) This is not a performance issue. But, certainly, it does get under my skin. Something shakes inside. Either the battery, or the battery holder. I hear it. I feel it. Drives me nuts.

On one hand, this thing is incredibly solid and great for people with big hands. The magnesium alloy body definitely made the D600 feel more solid (unlike the very flexible 3rd party plastic grips..although they also cost 1/3 the price), but what prevented a higher overall review is that the rubber started to stretch and come off within weeks of the warranty ending

I use this on my Nikon D610 . I bought it to extend my battery life so I don't have to change the battery as often I shoot a lot. The construction is true Nikon quality worth the extra money over a 3rd party grip.

Great fit and finish on this grip. Perfect seam fit on my D600. Nikon quality all the way, no cheap wraps or exposed polymer grip. Vertical button and controls work great. I looked at third party grips and read the reviews. I decided to go with Nikon for the grip and well pleased in all areas. Some may not like the added weight to camera body but that is a personal decision as to why you want a grip in the first place.

I previously purchased third party grips for my D600 at considerably reduced prices. They looked good but did not perform well. I was concerned that electrical problems would damage my camera. The Nikon MB-D14 works as advertised. I like the additional weight and bulk. The camera feels balanced in my hands. You can shoot from a vertical or horizontal perspective with full access to all controls. My only concern was the high price but overall, I am pleased with my purchase.

I weighed purchasing this battery grip versus some of the aftermarket versions, and decided I didn't want a piece of equipment to fail just when I needed it the most. Nikon hasn't let me down yet, and this proved true here as well. A very well made product that functions exactly as advertised. The shutter release button is a bit more sensitive than the one on the D600, but I expect to get used to that with a little use.

It will provide you a better handling of the camera, besides giving you the ability to shoot twice the amount of pictures. Regardless of what you would use the camera for, I will find hard to believe one can deplete the power on both batteries. I originally had a battery grip for my first DSLR (D7000), and now I am extremely pleased with the battery grip on my D600.

I purchased this because, now that i use much heavier lenses, it is helpful to have an additional shutter release button on the bottom so i do not have to reach all the way over when taking portrait shots. In addition, this provides me with twice the battery life. However, this grip is not flush with the camera. I purchased nikon based on reviews for other products stating that the mount is not flush for other products. Anyway, here is a breakdown: Pros (+) Comes with Nikon battery slot as well as extra "magazine" for AA batteries. This way, i can easily switch out the nikon battery with the AA batteries when i need to charge the nikon battery. (+) Texture, etc. match the nikon body (+) Additional Shutter release button plus other misc dials and controls for use in portrait orientation (+) Easy to use Cons: (-) Not flush with the camera body (or not as flush as i was expecting)

The price was right, the item was right, and the shipping time was awesome! I got this in time to take it to Texas for my granddaughter's graduation and I had no fear of not having adequate battery power. I could and did shoot to my heart's content. I bought an aftermarket grip because this was sold out. I tried out a friends and immediately returned the aftermarket. Don't skimp on the grip, this is well worth the money.

I've always bought vertical grips for my cameras to keep my wrist from aching when shooting verticals. Having the extra battery is handy when doing power-intensive tasks like using Live View or taking long exposures. It adds enough weight where my wife does not want these grips on her cameras.

The battery grip is easy to install and use. It makes taking portrait photos a snap. The build quality is top notch and fits perfectly to the camera. The battery grip adds quite a bit of beef to the camera. I have a pro model Nikon DSLR and I am very use to the extra beef. This grip makes taking photos much easier and faster. I would highly recommend this product to all Nikon D600 users. If there would be a downside to this grip it would have to be the price but for those of you reading this just remember "you get what you pay for".
