I purchased this due to the limited battery life of mirrorless cameras. I've rarely used it, and will sell it. It's more convenient to have a light, less bulky camera during shoots. That's one of the main reasons I went to mirrorless, so I could feel unencumbered by camera weight. I simply keep a spare battery with me. With that said, I still haven't gone through a full battery on any of my longer shoots. For the money, I wish I just purchased another battery and saved the change. The product is built well. It's just overkill.

if you're just looking for a battery pack, this is the one...very solid , and well built, easy to add onto the camera, gives you that little extra grip, and it really feels good in your hands. easy to swap out batteries .

I just received the battery pack to add to my Nikon z7. I read many reviews which are quite mixed. All I can say is, this pack brings out the best of my z7. I don't need bells and whistles, I don't shoot with the shutter release on the pack as I am just fine using the on camera button. I have the quite large z mount 24-70 f/2.8, and the 50 f/1.8 prime, and this makes my camera feel SOLID. Love it, and great job Nikon for all the work and detail you continue to bring to the table.

if your looking for just a battery pack for your nikon, this is a pretty nice option, easy to put the batteries in the pack, dont have to take it apart everytime to insert batteries. gives the camera a little extra size which i like. all in all, i'd recommend this grip.

Solid piece, it definitely makes the C6 easier the holes without adding much weight. Downsides are removing the battery cover repeatedly is only going to weaken the hinge, and there’s no vertical shutter release button. Both of which are stated very clearly in the description of course.

I recently bought a Z7 because Nikon has been slacking on getting new firmware out for DSLR cameras, namely promised updates for the D850. So far, I’m loving the platform, and this battery pack only adds to it. I have fairly meaty paws, so to me, without the battery pack, the camera is too small and poorly balanced, especially if saddled with front-heavy F-mount lenses. Many have been bashing it for its lack of controls and such, but it was not designed with that purpose or function in mind. Product descriptions exist for a reason.??The only complaint I have about this product is the battery compartment doors. They are very cheaply made, feel wobbly, and actually pop off with no difficulty and occasionally by accident. This may be by design to prevent them from being a part that breaks off easily, but this could lead to this being a part that wears out and gets lost quickly. Time will tell, I suppose.

Great grip for vertical shooting and extending shooting by holding 2 batteries. But be it know it is only a grip and battery holder. It has NO additional controls like vertical grips on other cameras.

Great feeling battery grip, but I have a couple of complaints about functionality. 1) No vertical shutter button. I knew this when I bought it, but it's still annoying and seems like an unnecessary sacrifice, especially considering the price point. 2) USB3 charging does NOT work unless you have a special wall adapter from Nikon. I did not know this and think it's a cheap way to get people to purchase a wall adapter that is NOT even included with a brand new Z6 (only comes with Z7 or sold separately).

The MB-N10 Grip does feel good in your hands. I also like that I can have 2 batteries inside and when one quits, the other one takes over and I can remove the exhausted battery to a charger, or charge in the grip via USB-C. If the MB-N10 were a full functional grip I would have given it 5 Stars!

Item works great. I love the battery indicators on the power pack and the hot swap ability. Wish they had made a shutter release on it but Nikon has learned their lesson and the Z6/7II will have a true battery grip.

The Nikon Z6 is amazing camera and the one of the best out there for video. The only issue is that it can eat through batteries when shooting video like most mirrorless camera, the MB-N10 is the cure. With this battery pack attached the Nikon Z6 can run for hours. Once one battery is depleted it flips over to the second battery and allows the user to hot swap the depleted battery, but stays powered up and keeps on shooting, so you never miss a beat when recording. As for still photography IMHO the lack of trigger buttons and scroll dials makes this grip not optimal for the still shooting, but for video it is the bomb.

If it had controls, it would be perfect. But, as advertised, it is a battery grip only. For me, it makes my Z6 handle much better. It counterbalances long(ish) lenses. The added weight actually helps my comfort with the camera.

Love it, my main gripe with the z6 was not having enough grip to hold onto the camera and this really helps and I pretty much don’t have to worry about battery life anymore. Left my camera on while shooting a Ferrari event for 8 hours and still had 25% battery in one battery
