decently made but way overpriced
The cap attaches solidly to the camera body and is easy to operate, even with one hand. Lens protection is a nice feature for a camera that is designed to rough it. Also works under water: the water simply drains out. Overall, there is not much to it, and it feels severely overpriced. It should come standard with the TG-6.

Great invention, should be standard equipment
Very simple: install it and leave it on! Twist to open and begin shooting. This should have come with the camera from the factory, and the price is ridiculous -- but there's nothing to lose and there's no reason to get a lens damaged when you're not shooting.

We got 2 of these, for our TG-5 and TG-6. They work great, and really help to protect the lens.

Great Protection for your valuable lens
Just used this product this past weekend while enjoying a float trip on the Ouachita River, Malvern, Arkansas. The areas along the river are rocky and even the beach areas we stopped at to stretch our legs, was smaller rocks as opposed to sand. The lens barrier stayed closed unless a photo was being captured. I have it attached to a Tough 6 and the fit was perfect. Just a quick twist and it?s open for action and the same quick twist in reverse, and the lens is safely protected. I didn?t give it 5 stars, because I feel that a camera this expensive should have come with the lens barrier attached. It got bounced around during this 3-4 hour trip and the lens remained scratch-free. If you are going to invest in this camera, the lens barrier is a must.

Lens barrier for Oly TG-6
This little essential accessory works fine. It would be worth 5-stars if it weren't ridiculously overpriced. They should come standard with the TG-6. "Tough" or not, a pocketable camera really needs some sort of lens protection.

Great lens protector
Great product for protecting your lens. Easy to attach and use. Olympus should offer this with the Tough TG-6 camera as it is way over priced.
