I was a bit disappointed in the product. The gram and the plastic tray were a bit warped. This. It doesn't fit solidly, but is usuable. It's a short-term solution at best.

Slide sorters (ordered two) are coming in very handy for sorting my 40 years worth of slides (over 15,000!). Only improvement would be to add another 8 slide row/ledge, increasing rows from five to six. That way 48 instead of 40 slides could be viewed at once (almost half a carousel slide tray). There certainly seems to be enough room to do it.

flimsy plastic screen. came without a lightbulb had to bend steel to fit plastic. have to remove bulb, then gaskets , then socket to fold flat.'leaves nowhere to put bulb and sockets.

I love that I can view 40 slides at once.I have 3 grown son's and their complete childhood is featured on slides. I sorted through them and am giving each son a slide sorter for Christmas. A terrific Christmas gift. Easy to use.

Everything I expected. Just like the one my Dad had to the 60’s to sort the slides. His was better in that it had good size magnifying glass that was attached on the top and swiveled slightly so it was easier than holding a magnifying glass to view the slides if needed. Otherwise this one is fine and serves the purpose. I’d recommend this one

I like the construction and airflow openings that dissipate the heat the bulb generates. It looks sturdy and will last a while, however the front panel attachment [elastic strings] will not last long. I would have preferred to have the front panel fitted over the corners of the box in a snap on fashion or some other way. Back lighting is adequate but not optimal.

I'm using my LOGAN slde sorter to lay-out and sort 200+ files (out of approx. 800) to present a 2 hr show. I previously used to my scanner which was really time consuming. This is a simple, well built unit. I only wish it held more...

I am currently using the lightbox as intended but I feel it is under lighted. A second lamp holder evenly spaced from the edges and each other would make the surface lighting much more even. As it is now designed the edges are too dark. Certainly you could improved the method of securing the cover tray to the frame with something other then a "rubber band". Also I could not tell top from bottom on the cover and ended up winging it. But I must say it does work in it's limited way.

This is a simple device intended to sort slides. I use it to go through my slides taken when I used film camers with the intent to have them scanned. It does exactly what it is supposed to do.

Have three of these which I use to sort through thousands of 20-50 year old Kodachromes to digitize for photo books. Just wish there was a larger version available. Otherwise it's straightforward and works just fine.

This replaces an older sorter that was made of cardboard and had a heat damaged plastic screen. I reduced the bulb size below the maximum recomended to avoid the same thing happening again. Because of the metal body I expect this one to last longer.

I have made slides for years, being the only medium available. Today I want to save those items for the family, before they fade to nothing. Converting them to jpegs required a lot of placement/filing/sorting, in order to acquire a good time line. The Logan viewer made haste of a very long process, and accomplished a very satisfactory result. The unit saved time and expense for me. It's an excellent piece of equipment.

In the days of yore, way back when there were no digital cameras, slides were the way to go. We have hundreds. We'd like to reaquaint ourselves with the babies, trips, special events, artsy shots that have been hidden in boxes in the attic for, well, let's just say a long, long time. A light table is okay but the SORTER allows us to get shots in groups (w/ no back/neck ache) in prep for putting all into digital format. At last!
