First, if you're wondering if it really blocks out background noise and echo, YES IT DOES! Inside, you can hear your own voice isolated in the booth. I've got mine set up in the garage. It's roomy. I have a desk, large screen pc, preamp, channel strip, speakers, a rolling chair and 2 microphones inside. I've noticed comments online that were unhappy with the height and they wanted to be able to stand up. But in case you aren't aware, there as a separate addition, you can order affordably priced height extenders from 2" to 24" in height for any ClearSonic booth. You're probably wondering about the setup and unpackaging. A crate will come to your house, by a truck company with a lift gate. The panels are strapped to a piece of wood. I cut them loose, then brought each boxed panel into the garage. The only heavy box was the one with the plexiglass panels. It is possible for a woman to bring it in alone... like me. Then on to set up... The hardest part of the installation was peeling the double-sided kraft masking tape off of the 4 plexiglass panels... BUT, it was fun. I enjoyed it... So, have fun as I did... it's not worth it to get annoyed... time will pass quickly! Then on to setting up the panels... Note: there is a long pipe. That pipe has 2 sides that need to set over the black fabric walls. They don't go over the plexiglass... You'll see that they fit snuggly in place onto the black sound pad walls. They go in the center of the roof but under the ceiling pads. This ensures the ceiling pads stay balances in place. One fits over one side of the black wall at its opening, then straight across to the opposite black wall... 6" inches from the end of those panels. Then, you'll need to open the velcro and attach the double walls to each other. Making them a complete wall like the plexiglass. Then once you figure out the pattern on the ceiling... velcro those, open the flaps and seam them together. That will prevent from the 3 panels flopping around when you open the door. Ok, last tip... there are actually 2 ways to open the door... in the manual, they recommend the black wall end is the door. you will notice the pipe extends itself... kind of slick... but you can also use the plex-glass end as a door instead... maybe it's not recommended... but I'm preferring it that way because of how I overlap the panels when I shut the door and work. Overall, its a secure, reliable, and professional setup for any voice-over actor/narrator. I love it!
