Needed a computer rather quickly and couldn't wait until Apple's anticipated upgrade at around March 2017. The i5 process is sufficient for what I need it for considering the only difference from this model and more recent i5s is the retina display -- which did not matter for me. The selling point was paying <2K for 1TB SSD.

Fast and reliable! Not a single crash in 3 years unlike my Windows PC. I am about to switch 100% to the Macs since Photoshop is the same in both platforms.

I bought this iMac for web application development. I need something that let's me get the job done, not the latest and greatest overpriced models, and this iMac, although a 3-year old model, fulfills my requirements. I do a lot of disk I/O, so the 1TB SSD is fast and makes apps launch quickly. I have hit memory constraints with 16GB of RAM, so I also bought 2x8GB of RAM to max it out to a total of 32GB. All that and a brilliant 27-inch LED monitor makes this model an excellent deal.

This is the first time I've purchased a 27" iMac and what a difference the larger screen makes. Previously I had a 21" iMac which worked great but in hindsight I wish I had purchased the larger screen model the first time around. This iMac has more than enough power and storage for me and is very, very fast. As with other Apple products...it just works! Setup was a breeze & transferring my old data was easy. After monitoring prices for it over a period of months I found Adorama was by far the best deal I could find - several hundred $$ less than their competitors. I highly recommend this computer!

I knew exactly which computer I wanted to buy so it was a matter of finding the best price for this iMac with 3TB Fusion Drive. Adorama had the best price by far. I ordered it and it was delivered on time and in excellent condition. Overall a flawless transaction with my first order at Adorama. Thanks!

as always the guys really go out there way to help me . Efraim, and John (mac sales guys) .. The only complain i have and its not the sales guys fault.. The website should indicate if the item is not at the store .. customers do not want to go to a store and be told the item is at the warehouse .. big no no .. :) .

Bought this in Feb. 2014 -- No buyers remorse! I look forward to playing on it (and working) on it every day. The screen is beautiful --colors are great. Nice touch --they include now Pages, Numbers, and KEYNOTE for free. Not in the cloud-- but right on my desktop. I thought I would miss Micro Word --but no. Pages is easier to use -- Numbers is easier to use over Excel. Total surprise! I know the price is higher than many, but I am glad I bought it. Really like not paying the $130.00 extra taxes to pay to the Guberment. Plus some of the Mac stores actually have classes on Numbers and Pages.

iMac is awesome product for daily computer works / entertainment. My wife was complaining it's too pricey, but once she saw how it's working and how it looks, she became great fan of iMac. Normally it's really hard for me to convince my wife for an IT device. But iMac removed that concern so easily. Even the price / performance ratio is excellent compared to other Windows based PC (I hate those updates in PC...). this iMac is running Mavericks / Windows 8.1 over Parallels 9. I'll definitely buy another iMac for my own (the above is for my daughter and family). Thanks.

I use this computer to edit large RAW files. I am a wedding photographer so I can't afford to wait on my computer when editing hundreds of files. So far this set-up has not disappointed!

Fast and Furious is an easy way to put it. Impressed with the fusion drive technology. I am doing edits in Premiere and previews at full quality at times with no issues at all! Photoshop is a breeze!

The iMac is very easy to set up and is amazingly quiet. I did not get the Fusion Drive. I felt the cost of the Fusion Drive was better put towards a faster processor and/or faster graphics card. I ordered the iMac with only two options; the fastest i7 Intel processor and the top 680MX graphics card. The internal hard drive is a 1TB 7200rpm mechanical drive. As far as RAM is concerned, I got it with the standard 8 Gigs. If I find I need more RAM, I'll buy it from a third party since Apple charges way too much for RAM. On the 27-inch it's very easy to install RAM yourself. So far (I've had the iMac only about a week), I'm not finding any urgent need for more RAM. But, I tend to have only one application open at a time. If you like to open multiple apps and keep them open, you may want to get more RAM. I use the iMac mainly for Photoshop CS6 with very large Photoshop files (up to 2 Gigs in size). It handles those files well. I also use the computer for video editing and multi-track audio. So far I've run into no problems. The audio is good, but not great. If you want the best sound get external speakers or use headphones. I love the wireless mouse and keyboard and all the familiar Apple software that comes with the computer. The only things I wish were better have to do with the monitor. While the monitor looks great, it isn't ideal for critical Photoshop work. Although the screen is less glossy than previous iMacs, it is still too glossy. No matter where it is placed, you'll still get some reflections that show up mostly in dark areas of the image. Also, the glossy screen makes images look more saturated and contrasty. In general, that looks fine for watching movies, surfing the net, and doing most non-critical work. But, for color correction and retouching, the screen is not ideal. It would be nice if there was more control over the monitor settings and if the controls were easily accessible. To be fair, all Macs now have glossy screens. So the same issues are present with the MacBooks and Air laptops. I still prefer matte displays. I've used Macs for over 20 years and this iMac is one of the best I've used. I'd recommend this system as long as you are aware of the monitor issues.

For an "all in one" computer, this machine meets 99% of all my home computing needs. Quick, fast and easy to use and the Fusion Drive makes it so easy to use.

Great Price for Solid State Drive

Needed a computer rather quickly and couldn't wait until Apple's anticipated upgrade at around March 2017. The i5 process is sufficient for what I need it for considering the only difference from this model and more recent i5s is the retina display -- which did not matter for me. The selling point was paying <2K for 1TB SSD.
The Apple iMac 27" LED Desktop Computer (Intel Core i5 Quad-Core 3.2GHz) is an All-in-One desktop computer with an ultra-slim unibody design. Measuring at just 5mm at its edges, the iMac has 40% less volume than the 2011 iMac. The body of the iMac isn't the only thing that got thinner. The LCD display is now 5mm thinner and Apple also removed a 2mm gap between the LCD panel and the glass to save even more space.
The 27" widescreen display features LED backlighting for vibrant, accurate color. With in-plane switching (IPS) technology, the iMac has a wide 178deg. viewing angle. The screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 2560 x 1440 native resolution, supported by a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M graphics card with 1GB of GDDR5 memory.
Powered by a quad-core 4th-generation Haswell 3.2GHz Intel Core i5 processor, the iMac takes advantage of each core to optimize performance. The 4th-gen Haswell Intel processor also allows for low voltage usage for better energy efficiency. The system also has 8GB of 1600MHz DDR3 RAM, a 1TB 5400rpm hard drive, 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac/a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, a FaceTime HD camera, dual microphones and built-in stereo speakers.
For ports, the iMac has dual Thunderbolt ports (which also double as Mini DisplayPorts) and four USB 3.0 ports. You'll be able to connect with various compatible components. If you would rather go wireless with your peripherals, you can use Bluetooth 4.0 technology where compatible.
The world's most advanced desktop operating system.
Easy to use, beautiful to look at, and engineered to take full advantage of your Mac hardware, OS X Yosemite is the world's most advanced desktop operating system. It comes with an amazing collection of apps for the things you do every day. And it's designed to enable your Mac and iOS devices to work together in amazing ways.
