Works great in 2011 MacBook Pro
This works great in my 2011 MacBook Pro, with an easy clone of the existing hard drive, using Carbon Copy Cloner. Have not done any testing, but certainly seems fast. From what I can tell I will need to do a little hacking to enable TRIM as well.

Very nice upgrade
I had wanted to upgrade my laptop to a SSD for a while but the sizes have been too small and the prices too high. This drive gave me enough storage at a reasonable price. The start up is as fast as I had hoped for, no more spinning up a hard drive to wait for. I'm also happy to lose the hard drive since I often travel overseas to remote areas to shoot photos and having no moving parts means not arriving home to find that a hard drive got handled too roughly and has died in transit.
If you are moving from a larger hard drive to a smaller, as I was, it can be technically challenging to image your existing drive and re-image the new drive to avoid actually installing software on the new drive, but it is possible. The alternative however is simple, which is to manually re-install all your software, but I wanted to avoid that.
Overall I'm extremely happy to have finally made the transition to a solid state drive and it's functioning perfectly.
