Used a couple of times to back up some files. Returned to try to use again and it is not showing up on either of my windows 11, updated laptops.

I love the drive but the cord broke. I tried several replacement cords and they do not connect consistently. I need a longer cord ideally but I need something that will work. Thanks for the help.

I bought this portable ssd in 2021 Use only 3 time for backup And now Windows doesn't recognize the device I take of my stuff, I don't don't have children or pets. It's was save in a drawer.

Failed and I went through arduous process of getting it replaced. They finally sent back new one and within a month - once again failed. Exceptionally poor product.

It works few times and then fail - never worked. This drive do not have any lights that can indicate that is working or not - Try with two to three different computer and two different USD cable - did not worked. I am very disappointed. What a waste of money and time - top of lost my data - I will not recommend this product at all. My old Toshiba after three years still working -

I bought two of these drives from a retailer. The drives have spotty connectivity issues. They go into a 'sleep' mode far quicker than expected. The write/read performance was not even close to specifications; and one of the drives had bad blocks. I evaluated both units on multiple Windows 11 machines (all of them from the same manufacturer but different hardware specs) and one MacBook Pro. While the drives did perform better when connected to the Apple device, the performance was still not up to expectations and the connectivity issues persisted. The most disappointing part of the experience was the unsuccessful call to their tech support. It was exceedingly difficult to communicate with the agent, not only in terms of linguistics, but in the technical aspect as well. I had to politely end the call to stop wasting valuable time. After a good twenty minutes on the phone, I do not believe I was able to convey the issue, far less come to a potential solution.

I'm disappointed with 1tb drive after a year of working at a desk saved files are not opening because of being corrupt and its multiple file formats and two different computers, the only command link is this external drive and the files don't show as corrupt until after unplugging for the night and starting up in the morning.. If I save the same file to a thumb drive at the same time the one on the thumb drive works I keep loosening my archives

I bought the 1TB to back up my pictures and videos from my Samsung S20+ and it worked so smooth and fast. I coach two high school varsity teams and take countless videos and pictures that take up a lot of space. I was 100% satisfied with how well this SSD drive worked and was able to clear up my storage on my phone.

I have a new Surface Pro 8 running Windows 11 running my external 1TB SSD connected through the USB-C connector of a Surface Dock 2. I find that the speed of the drive is great when it is awake, but after just a few minutes the external drive appears to enter into a sleep mode. It takes between 10 and 15 seconds to awake. The delay occurs on every application I use, including Edge, Outlook, Excel, and Quicken. I would give this SSD a rating of 5 if it would have a greater sleep timeout window.

Transfer rates are really slow, drive discovery slow as well, significantly slower than my previous USB standard connected drives, even my very old external HD.

My Sandisk SSD Extreme loads fine in MacOS Mojave on a 2014 iMac but doesn't show up on my 2021 MacBook Pro running MacOS Monterey. Very disappointing.

I am a fan of sandisk and wd and over the years have tried out most of their products. I own both SDSSDE60 and SDSSDE61, versions. The main issue with this specific model is that SDSSDE60 does not have 256 AES Encryption and it kind of defeats the purpose as the data stored can be easially accessed. The sandisk secure is a very bad software that serves no purpose and is rubbish. It would be of great help if you guys at WD or Sandisk release a software that can protect SDSSDE60 like SDSSDE61. I would be of great help.

The drive works exactly as expected. I use it as additional photo storage to free up space on my laptop and it's super fast. Plus I can work from it as well without transferring photos. I?ll be ordering another one as a third backup.

Purchased SanDiskExtreme Portable SSD. When I connect it to a Mac it shows two items on it; one installs security for Mac, the other for Windows. I want to be able to use it on either machine, Which one is there to install? And installing it on Mac will ut still be password protected and encrypted? NO User manual to be found that explains what one needs to do.

The most money I have ever spent on 2 of the the lightest paperweight I now own. I wanted to like this, it seems rugged, but I will never know how robust it could be. If it connects and is recognized by either: Mac, Windows 10 & 11, and my Chromebook it drops the connection before you can write to it. This is my 2nd one, because once is just a failure and it happens, twice with the same issue is a manufacturer selling junk. The issue is real and you just need to google "SanDisk Extreme issues" and it's pages of people looking for a non-existent fix.

I bought SanDisk Extreme Pro 1 Tb some months ago. I want to save info for many years, so I checked the device CAREFULLY using WD Software. SOrry - too many errors. Returned it. Got my money back - but not my time (several hours). Use Western Digital Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows - DLGDIAG - This is the Most strict test.
