This versatile and compact amplifier is highly energy-efficient, continuing Crown's tradition of leadership in professional and commercial power amplifier technology. It offers true rack density power points of 300W or 600W in 2-, 4-, or 8-channel configurations, all housed in a 2 Rack Unit form factor. This design allows for smaller infrastructure rooms, reducing operational costs and offering maximum installation flexibility.
The DCi 2X300 DriveCore Amplifier features Direct Drive Constant Voltage, allowing for the use of smaller gauge wiring to drive speakers at either 70Vrms or 100Vrms. This eliminates the need for a step-up transformer at the output, resulting in higher audio quality and improved efficiency.
The amplifier also offers channel independent Hi-Z/Low-Z selection, enabling you to drive either one or two speakers in low-Z mode, or hundreds of speakers in high-Z mode (70Vrms or 100Vrms). This provides superior design flexibility, as the DCi powers all loads on a channel-by-channel basis.
Unlike amplifiers from other manufacturers, the DCi Series channels are bridgeable even in 100Vrms mode, offering adaptability for higher power applications such as subwoofers. The amplifier also includes a remote on/off interface, allowing for easy integration into a control system for power conservation.
The DCi 2X300 DriveCore Amplifier features an efficient cooling design, with internal cooling fans providing airflow to the most heat-generating parts. The fans are incorporated into the amplifier brick design, maximizing cooling while minimizing wasted energy and noise.
