Good investment for avid photographers or pros
Seems to last a long time on my E-M1 II, surviving even multi hours-long time lapse sequences.
I have two of these and have no need for any other power supply.
One or two is probably good enough for all but the most extreme applications.

A real OEM battery at a good price
Just works.
After getting a counterfeit on another website, despite claims they were selling real batteries from Olympus, found these. Takes a while to ship given they must go ground, but they work great in my E-M1iii and I can charge them in camera. Expensive, but they will probably last longer if my E-m5 experience is any bellwether.

Top Notch Travel Camera
With its speed and AI, the M-1 Mark ii makes any photographer better. It was my top choice for a do-it-all travel camera, and the light weight was a real bonus, especially if you’re doing a lot of walking. Only reason for the 4 is I wish it came with the full instruction manual bundled in.

A great charge from your battery is the best protection you can get.
The real Olympus battery carries a good life of charges for the heavy photography demands of the OMD series cameras. Having a spare will relieve your frustration with your camera using all of one while on assignment or work with family and friends.

Pricey but worth it
It was difficult to justify this purchase at first due to the price being double an aftermarket brand that consisted of a 2-pack with charger that had the nice collapsible outlet prongs (nicer than Olympus'). But my experience with non-OEM batteries for my previous E-M5.1 made the decision to go with OEM battery easier. The aftermarket ones would swell up after use and difficult to take out of the camera. And since I upgraded to an E-M1.2, I didn't want to cheapen out and damage my new investment. Plus, I've read product reviews of the aftermarket ones and they don't show the percentage of power remaining on the viewscreen. So another plus for the OEM.

Great Batteries - at a price
OEM batteries from Olympus are pretty much the only batteries on the market that are 100% compatible with the cameras that they fit. Fortunately they are excellent batteries and you should have no real issues paying for a high quality product. However, for obvious reasons Olympus will not release the design specs for other manufacturers to produce aftermarket batteries that are 100% compatible and therefore can charge a very high premium for their product. For other Olympus cameras I have used available third-party batteries with no real issues except for deviant charge level display readings and charger incompatibility but frankly invariably on occasion the battery would crap out with no warning at the worst possible time. Things are what they are and if you want the best possible battery for your Olympus camera you have to pony up and pay.

Adding power
Ordered this battery as a backup for my Olympus em1 Mark ii. Battery charges fast and last as expected, usually enough to shoot all day outdoors. Though the charge lasts, just in case I always keep a few of those.

Quick charging battery
Using the new charging system, this battery charges to full at a fraction of the time of the older Olympus battery systems and carries a charge for more shots per charge. It is a bit larger than the older batteries but the weight gain is minimal.
