The X100VI is a stunning camera the design is sleek, minimal, and feels like a piece of art. The materials feel premium, and it's clear that Fujifilm put a lot of thought into the aesthetic and layout. It looks and feels like a high-end product. That said, I was a little surprised to find that the battery feels slightly loose in its compartment. It hasn't caused any major issues, but it does make the build feel a bit less solid than expected especially at this price point. Still, it's a beautifully crafted camera that stands out from the crowd. Just hoping Fujifilm tightens up the small hardware details in the future.

The camera is extremely well built and quality of photos are superb. Disappointed it did not come with an ac charger. There are a lot of extra accessories that users recommend. Do not know why Fujifilm did not include these with the camera. I also have a recommendation. It would be nice to have the options of beginners, intermediate and advanced users. When one selects one of the options, only the menus related to the skill level of that user will be accessible. I would also like to thank Adorama shipping the camera earlier than what I had anticipated.

my review wont be about the camera but the store Adorama! Great customer service, fast shipping, and GREAT backorder policy. Love shopping with them and will gladly shop with them again! This camera has been OOS for over a year but got my backorder filled in just a few short weeks!

As a Nikon Z8 user, I was looking for a compact camera to carry for lighter travel that still offered excellent image quality. While heavily hyped, this camera has delivered on a satisfying and capable shooting experience with a self contained camera body and lens that fits in my smallest bags. I also like the idea of it having a fixed lens (one and done, without the draw to expanding my investment in additional lenses). Highly recommended.

After a long wait, it was well worth it. Amazing camera. Does everything well.

Probably the best all-round fixed-lens camera. An excellent lens and sensor in a pleasing, compact package. Autofocus is sharp. The mechanical elements of the UX (shutter speed dial, control ring, etc.) are intuitive and pleasing to use, but adjusting settings or checking pictures with the touch screen and back-of-camera buttons is frustratingly clumsy, especially if you're used to using a modern smartphone as your travel camera. I'd love for a version of this camera that massively cleans up the digital UX, and drops some of the features like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and anything else that doesn't have to do with shooting better pictures in exchange for a little less weight. As far as I know that camera doesn't exist, so this is the best you can get.

For those on a wait-list, I ordered this camera in May and received it mid December of 2024. Well worth the wait to be honest! It's nice to have a solid piece of camera equipment that I can both use for "serious" photo work or everyday kind of stuff. It has suburb image quality for what is technically a point and shoot with manual controls.

Worth the wait- this camera is fantastically creative and adaptive to your artistic sensibility. If you want simplicity, you can let the camera make the decisions and you'll end up with great photographs. But you can also make a ton of creative decisions on film stocks, recipes, aspect ratios, custom features, and personalized menus.

Super nimble and extremely versatile. This is NOT a professional grade tool. Don't expect it to perform like one. It is a fun and highly capable piece of equipment that is beautiful constructed. 5 axis in body stabilization with build in ND filter is great to have! 40mp sensor packs a PUNCH. Shooting with Raw+SOOC is a nice fallback and the file sizes aren't any larger than my 5dmk iv. Build quality is appreciated and overall weight feels solid in the hand. For the size of this camera and what it is able to accomplish makes it worth having in the bag. There are SO many different nooks and features to learn. It may seem overwhelming but no one ever ate a cow in one bite. Pick your favorite cut and start there. Then move on to the next. I shoot professionally in New York City for events, venues, artists, and models & sometimes i've found myself bringing just the fuji out. Clients love the look and turning over assets day of is game changing!

Waited for this beauty about 8 months and loving it so much!!!!! I love how they created nostalgic negative as one of the film simulations. So happy but I wish they had a manual switch for photo to video

Fantastic camera! I primarily shoot film on prime lenses. The size and controls of this camera appealed to me for those reasons - I love the focal length and having an aperture ring on the lens! This camera lets me shoot in a way that feels similar to when I am shooting film, but gives me modern digital images. The film simulations are fun, honestly I don't use them a ton. If I want the film look I grab my film camera. I wish the wait time wasn't so long to get this camera, but it is worth the wait!

Two feelings about having just received this camera from Adorama after a wait of over 5 months--positive and negative. By way of background, I owned my own business for years. We bent over backward to provide great customer service and to keep customers perfectly informed. We dropped vendors that communicated poorly. 1A. I was slightly happy to have finally received this camera. (I ordered 2 days after the camera was released. My bad: I really had trouble deciding on the stealthy black or the better looking chrome. I went with black). Thanks to Adorama for not having totally forgetting about me. 1B. I do appreciate 2 wonderful features on the Fuji: The optical viewfinder (can view outside the frame), and the leaf shutter (compared to focal plane shutter, affords better shutter speed control for strobes). 2A. Duh, I am unhappy with Adorama's poor communication during the forever waiting process to receive my Fuji X100vi. Adorama, you are the retailer. It is your job to either get honest answers from the manufacturer about the timing of when one's camera will arrive--or forever cease dealing with that manufacturer. 2B. Having now played with the camera for a while, I can say that for me at least the Fuji is slower to operate than my trusty Sony mirrorless cameras. In terms of size and weight, the Fuji X100vi seems to have little or no benefit over my Sony a6600 with a pancake lens. Am I being unfair by singling out just Adorama? Well, my personal experience was with just Adorama. However, I heard from one acquaintance that he ordered his Fuji X100vi the same day I did, but from a SMALL photography store. He said he got his FUJI camera within a month of ordering.

The Fujifilm x100vi is a true masterpiece of photography, bridging the gap between professional excellence and hobbyist enjoyment. Its versatility knows no bounds, effortlessly adapting to any setting or occasion. Whether you're capturing the tranquility of a park, the excitement of a bustling city, the intimacy of a wedding, or the energy of a concert, the x100vi ensures that every angle is covered with precision and finesse. What sets this camera apart is not just its exceptional performance, but also the sheer pleasure it brings to the photography experience. Its intuitive controls and seamless operation make shooting a delight, allowing both professionals and hobbyists alike to unleash their creativity without constraints. The x100vi is a photographer's dream come true.

This camera has rekindled my love for photography. Also I received it 2 months after preorder which I think is great timing. I feel lucky because so many people are still waiting for their camera from other vendors.

It's my first Fujifilm Photo camera and so the learning curve is something I have to deal with. But the camera pretty much works intuitive if you're used to cameras and have a little knowledge about photography. Bought the camera, lured into the hype. But it sure was worth it. It's a fun camera, very capable. Love the film sims and the built in ND filter is a very nice feature. Brought back my enthusiasm for photography. As said, still learning the ins and outs of this very handsome camera. Received mine about 3 weeks after ordering so I was lucky. Don't worry, you'll be rewarded when you receive yours. Go for it I would say.

The higher resolution sensor is just no match for the very poor autofocus. It's worse than the already BAD x100v and many years behind other manufactures (Ricoh for instance). Image quality is of course good but software compatibility has not caught up yet.

The camera is well made and high quality. The lens is matched well with the high resolution sensor. The small flash is perfect for a little catchlight in the eye of your subject (dial down flash exposure comp so it doesn't make your subject look washed out). I love the 35mm focal length and find it perfect for this camera. I don't feel the need for a zoom lens or different focal length, nor a larger flash. All of these would fundamentally change the camera. It's not meant to be everything to everyone. A mirrorless or DSLR system is what you want. I don't particularly like the reversed filter thread or the friction lens cap. I'd much prefer standard filter threads and a regular lens cap. This is one reason why I bought the lens hood, so I'd have access to standard 49mm filters. I do find that a real yellow filter with the standard Acros preset behaves somewhat differently than the Acros+Y preset, for example. This style camera is basically purpose built for me and is the only camera I need. I did buy a lens hood but don't use it often, nor is it especially necessary. I shoot this camera in JPEG (and am experimenting with HEIF which this camera also supports) - one, because at 40MP I don't want to clog up my cards/computers with tons of RAW data I'll never really need. And two, because I want to take full advantage of Fuji's film simulation magic without buying software that I'll be stuck constantly paying for. I am still getting used to the Fuji menu system. It is very complex. Far more complex than I expected at first. But hopefully once I get it all figured out and set up I won't have to use it much, especially since this camera has dials and wheels for most common controls. I deduct one star because of the complicated menus. For example for the life of me I cannot figure out how to have the viewfinder display the small electronic display just in the corner, with the rest of the viewfinder being the optical viewfinder. I want that to shoot with the Acros film simulation - I can have the electronic viewfinder patch show me live B&W so I can see the tones/contrast (helpful when dialing in exposure comp for example). I had the camera doing that on the first day I got it, but haven't seen it since. I'd also like to know if it's possible to adjust the presets - can I dial in a bit more contrast with the Acros+Yellow preset, without needing to bump up to the Acros+Red preset. So far I haven't run into a situation where the IBIS was really necessary, so I usually leave it turned off. But I like the idea of having it available if I'm ever shooting with extended shutter speeds at night etc. Battery life isn't stellar but is good enough if you use the optical viewfinder mostly (which I prefer anyway). It is a compact camera with a small battery. It charges fairly quickly using my laptop's USB-C charger. I haven't tried the WiFi functions to transfer images wirelessly, I still just pull the card out and transfer images with a card reader. But I can see a future where I would use that function so it is nice to have available.

In response to something shakes or rattles
By Jim G.
What you heard is the ibis. It's normal for this camera, because they don't lock it down when the camera is off. A lot of the reviewers on YouTube have commented on that. FYI, youll often hear a shake or rattle in lenses that have stabilization built in them as well. All perfectly normal.
FujiFilm X100VI
By RICARDO S.
Love this camera, great for any photographers who don't want to bring all their gear. I wouldn't recommend this camera to beginners, this is for those photographers who may go on a vacation, family gatherings, or meeting up with friends who would like to be more in the moment without taking away their photography skill capabilities.
Inspiration can strike anywhere and at any time. For creators who desire the highest quality images and superior tools that deliver, let us introduce you to Fujifilm’s latest digital camera: The Fujifilm X100VI.
Building on the legacy of premium compact cameras, the Fujifilm X100VI allows creators to masterfully capture 40-megapixel stills and 6.2k/30p video footage, all while maintaining the premium line's clean and classic interface.
The new and exciting Fujifilm X100VI retains the Fujifilm X100 series’ compact, elegant, and simplistic look and feel. However, it stuns users with its upgraded features, delivering powerful shots.
As creators, we all desire a digital camera that not only supports but also enhances our creativity. The Fujifilm X100VI has been crafted with creators in mind, providing a convenient and convenient tool for our creative journey. With a Fujifilm X100 camera, you'll always capture those special moments in stunning stills and videos of the highest quality.
Here’s how.
Having a compact and portable digital camera by your side means creators will, in fact, carry their Fujifilm X100VI with them everywhere. If you’re a travel photographer or enjoy capturing moments on the go, this camera is light and provides incredible stability.
Sometimes, we choose to work with a slow shutter, perhaps to catch artistic shots, like the motion of a whirling crowd as a backdrop for a sharp portrait of our friends. The X100 series’ IBIS allows the motion of the world to be captured while eliminating camera shake.
The new Fujifilm X100VI boasts up to 6 stops of image stabilization. This, of course, makes for stunning low-light photography, especially for moving objects or rapid photography shots. This level of image stability makes Fujifilm X100VI one of the best cameras for photography and great videography too.
The imaging technology of the 40MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS 5 HR Sensor of the Fujifilm X100VI allows for detailed and masterful shots. With high resolution available in all good cameras for photography, creators can capture all the fine details in their environment. Whether it is a crowded city street, or a rocky beach lit up in striking shades at the time of a sunset, the Fujifilm X100VI’s powerful sensor is a necessary upgrade. Operating at twice the speed of the previous generation, catching fleeting expressions in portraits or the waves as they crest a sea wall is no problem for the Fujifilm X100VI.
The digital teleconverters come in handy, specifically when you need to get a closer shot. Users will get 1.4x and 2.0x with this Fujifilm camera and an internal 4-stop neutral density (ND) filter to give you even more control.
While some may favor one over the other, it is safe to say that many creators regularly capture both stills and videos. With Fujifilm X100VI’s video capabilities, you can now capture up to 6.2K at 30P. For extra crisp 60-frame shooting, 4k/60p is also available. While capturing footage, the 4-stop ND and IBIS are, of course, appreciated greatly. The legendary film simulations from Fujifilm give you a massive range of color and contrast control options with a classic feel. The F-Log2 capability means you can keep all your options open in post-production if the project requires it.
Almost every conversation about a Fujifilm camera includes admiration for the company's stunning and diverse film simulations. Having a cache of 20 or more film simulations means you can pick the look and feel you want for your images as you create them.
Even when shooting RAW, the simulations carry with the files to Capture One, which means you can always make changes later. The Fujifilm X100VI comes with the REALA Ace film simulation first introduced with the GFX100 II. REALA Ace produces life-like colors and has quickly become a favorite of commercial and portrait shooters. Let us not forget these simulations can also be applied when creating video.
Innovating the way autofocus works, the Fuji X100 series uses deep learning technology for subject detection and tracking. The new Fujifilm X100VI’s autofocus feature locks in on and tracks a host of subjects in any lighting environment. Fujifilm recognizes that creators need autofocus that is both rapid and accurate at the same time. All this is made possible with Fujifilm X100VI’s X-Processor 5 Imaging Processor.
What makes the Fujifilm X100VI stand out as one of the most highly recommended cameras for photography? Fujifilm’s latest X100 series acknowledges the frequent need for creators to collaborate. To make these collaborations faster and simpler, the Fujifilm X100VI has incorporated native support for frame.io.
Its camera-to-cloud functionality means that with an active internet connection, a creator can upload their images and video as they are being captured. Not only does this provide a means of remote collaboration, but it also means that an editor can begin post-production while production is still happening! These collaborators can be anywhere in the world, including right there with you on location.
No more gathering around the back of the camera to discuss session progress, the project can be viewed and edited on a computer nearby while the photographer focuses on their subject.
