This ring light definitely makes the 25mm Ultra-Macro easier to use once you figure some things out. First, it does click into place exactly like the lens cap, but the first time I had to apply enough force to risk breaking it. Second, while there is a power cord, there is no information on what source to use - just a recommendation would help. I found that an old back-up battery for charging my iPhone worked but its switch was difficult to access - required careful pressure with a fingernail. I found a $5 in-line switch with USB ends on Amazon that worked fine, solving that problem (see photo). Then there was the color temperature question - no information provided! After some testing on my Nikon Z6, I found setting the camera for a 3500K source worked best - very slightly warm from neutral at 3400K. I now like the ring light, but a little printed or on-line guidance would have helped.

This is a great add on for the 25mm lens, however most of the time you will still need another light source to get good photos. It?s cord construction is great, the plug broke when trying to plug it in upside down (smh) but other micro usb cords work to power it. You will need a battery pack or some sort of usb power source to use the light. The light also doesn?t seem to ?click? into place when mounting on the lens, so it?s a little cumbersome and loose. At the end of the day, I?m still glad I have it.

This LED ring light does as work as advertised. My only gripe is that it does not lock into place on my lens and easily falls off.

It is very useful and compact. It is a good fit for the lens. I am happy with the purchase. It does get hot quick though. Would be better if it were dimmable or had an on/off switch. And it would be nice if you could buy an additonal diffusers for it. The usb power cord it came with shorted out on me on my very first outing.
