Works well, and relatively lightweight and portable. I got it on sale, otherwise I don't think I would have paid full price for as small as it is but it's perfect for individual portraits. Love that it comes with a carrying case too!

Bought this after doing some research on similar items and I am glad I settled on this one as my purchase. About as easy as it comes with regard to setup. It also comes with a nice carrying bag which makes the whole experience super convenient. Give it two thumbs up and would highly recommend it!

It looks like a great kit, sturdy and well-made, but it doesn't come with the stand that's in the photo on the webpage.

Pros: Really does wrap the subject in ambient light Creates a great highlight even when the subject has huge false lashes that block out the key light As a set piece, it creates a great tone for non-models stepping up take a headshot Cons: Creates a giant highlight on the subject's neck sometimes--polo shirt collars were casting shadows on top of the giant highlight Be ready with a short stand so there is enough distance from the subject

Comes with a decent carrying bag and assembles quickly once you've done a couple times.

Mounted on a standard light stand, was much too high. They need to furnish a stand that puts it about 18-20 inches off of the floor. Definite buyer's remorse

Does exactly what I expected and it is intended for, once set up I just hang it up since it does take a bit of time but I just use it i the studio so no big deal.

with so many pieces and with it being so big, id like to make it and leave it assembled. You are not going to want to make this everyday. Hard to use outside. Great product but more pieces than the original eyelighter from westcott

I really love this product! I?m not the type of photographer that complains about assembling equipment/gear?someone has to do it! ??. This reflector makes for sweet clamshell set up and works just as expected!

There is a lot of effort to make this easy looking device work, but the results can be worth it. First, it is hard to assemble because the cloth for the curve is sewn to very close tolerances. If you plan to assemble this reflector on site, allow yourself plenty of extra time. One key fact that is not mentioned in the instructions, as well as in the instructions for some other similar devices, is that the white cloth reflector does not yield a very noticeable eye highlight. I had to look carefully for it in the enlarged iris of the eye. This characteristic may be good or bad, because the white fabric produces very even lighting but fairly low contrast -- compared to the silver cloth -- which leaves a more noticeable eye highlight. I haven't tried the gold fabric, but my guess is it will be similar to the silver fabric, only with gold highlights. With this device, one gets very even lighting all around the face, which may or may not be to your liking or purpose. Perhaps you are looking for different or classic lighting ratios across the face by using multiple lights at different powers or distances, as well as reflectors. I found that to place the highlight around the bottom of the iris of the eye, the reflector needed to be located very close to the face, much closer than the three feet or so recommended. (I was using a 56" diameter round fabric beauty dish angled high and close over the subject.) This device will see important, but limited use by me. It is too bad state DMV's won't start using them for driver's license photos for the wonderful even lighting all around the face, instead to the flat, ill-tempered photos they produce now.

Great catch lights. I use it with my Savage C-stand. It?s a little tight, because the reflector is so big, but works. Using it with a nano stand might be better.

This reflector is a life saver. It provides great studio lighting distributed over an area evenly. Great for portraits.

This thing is huge. It looks like it would do a good job but I didn't even try it. I returned it because it's so big and it took a while to assemble because they use zippers to change the reflector materials. Velcro would have been better,

Wow! Three things impress me about this reflector: 1) The build quality is exceptional. It is a solid piece of equipment and I actually can?t imagine it being more sturdy without being insanely heavy. 2) The size is substantially larger than expected and produces amazing catchlights when you position your key light correctly. 3) The price makes me laugh when I think of the price of other brands. There is one thing that I find to be a negative?and it is a negative only for those doing location portraits: It is a pain to disassemble. Not like a 30 min pain?but definitely a commitment: I just leave mine assembled and it fits snugly on the back seat of my car: All in all?highly recommend for headshot photographers.

There are too many design issues with this item for me to be able to say that this is a great value. For instance, to have to zip each corner with the tiny zipper. It's so time consuming to get it started and who knows how long the zipper will hold up. This design takes way too long to swap out the fabrics. I can't take 15 minutes or longer to do a swap. Need the other fabrics to velcro on top not to have to replace the entire thing. I haven't even tried using it yet but I don't think I will keep it. Back to the drawing board.
