Can't use umbrellas with this mount
It fits the ad300 nicely, seems to take the weight of the modifiers. How ever this is an issue.
I gave it 3 star for build and fit. However you can no longer use the umbrella hole on the Godox bracket. That means adding a S bracket and defeats the use of this bracket.
I am sorry I inverted in this now. If you plan on using this with any type of umbrella it is not for you.

Works well, but a little frustrating
It gets the job done, and I'd be lost without it since nearly all of my light modifiers are bowens mount, but I really wish this adapter was simpler to attach. There are four tiny screws that mount the adapter to the strobe, so I never take it off because it's just too much hassle to put back on.

Works as expected.... Convenient for Bowens style light modifers BUT....
A well made adapter which provides a solid connection for a Bowens mount light modifier with my Flashpoint XPLOR 300. Once the adapter is mounted, it's not easily removable. Recommend leaving it on. Otherwise, set aside time to remove it. Also, I had to use a different carrying case because of the larger diameter once mounted on the flash unit.

You can't use umbrella modifires

Meh. Does What it's Supposed To Tho!
It's certainly not a bad product. Unfortunately the bigger issue is that once it's in place, given the construction, there isn't much desire to ever take it off. It gets the job done for creating a bowens mount but also limits the ability to use an umbrella with the slot provided. In hindsight, I might recommend just buying a light compatible with a bowens mount if that's your primary modifier need.

Needed for ad400 Pro extension head
Pretty basic. Does what you would expect. I purchased for an extension head for the ad400 pro because it is an essential piece of kit if you use bowen modifiers.

Get the glow version
I bought this for the xplor 300 but didn?t know I needed another adapter just to fit the 300. So basically have to buy 2 things just to get a bowens mount.

Bowens adapter for Flashpoint XPLOR 400 Pro
Allows for Bowens accessories on my Flashpoint XPLOR 400 pro. I wish they had built the Bowens compatible mount right into the XPLOR 400 Pro but at least they included this adapter with the unit.

Good Bowens convert, blocks umbrella hole
Fit my Xplor 300 Flash well and held my Bowens mount soft box snugly. Be aware the ring is big enough that it blocks the umbrella holder hole on the base of the Xplor 300.

Total waist of money from my perspective
Total waist of money from my perspective. You have to mount it to the bulb cover with 4 screws and then its basically a terminate mount. You cant put the bulb cover back on. Really poor design. Use the Bowens S mount instead.

Not practical
This bowen adapter is not practical at all. You need an adapter ring to go with it which is NOT clearly stated. Also, it takes time to put them together on the field because you need to screw 4 bolts to hold it together. Once this adapter is on my Godox AD400 or AD300, you can?t put the bulb cover back on it without removing the adapter which is time consuming when you?re on assignment.
I ended up returning it and get an S2 adapter which is more straightforward and multi-functional.

Great! (Except for...)
Solidly built and well designed. An great addition to my Xplor 300 flashes. (along with what I guess you?d have to call the adapter adapter) Only four stars though because this unit does block the umbrella slot on the Xplor 300?s stand mount. It?s an easy workaround with a Bowens umbrella reflector, I just wish I would have known (or that this was not the case.

Only 3 stars because once this is attached you are unable to use the umbrella slot on the light stand adapter. This is not a piece you want to be removing constantly either.

Functional mount, but minor issues need addressed
The adapter arrived and looks as expected. Appears to be well built and I think it’ll work well. I haven’t really had a chance to use it yet. The only reason I’m deducting a star is due to needing another adapter (Flashpoint AD-DB) to fit on the XPLOR 300 (or 400). This isn’t too clear from the website and kind of a pain to order both together.
The Bowen’s mount fits nicely on the AD-DB adapter, however, the AD-DB adapter is a little difficult to mount properly on the flash.

AD300 Pro Bowens Mount Adapter
It was working well. I wished it could provide a link or a sheet of manual. I had to spend a bit of time to suit it on my AD300 pro. But, the overall quality was pretty good.
