This product is the one I needed to make my life easier. I was always wrapping my neck strap around my wrist when I was shooting so I could keep my camera at hand and hope I could rest it against some of my fingers during short breaks. This clutch does exactly that, and it feels much more secure.

been using the original clutch for years, and loved it. The Micro upgraded many small features and made a great product even better. It feats wonderfully with mirrorless like my X-T5 and makes the whole setup lightweight, agail yet secured

I'll start off by saying I love PD and every product I've purchased from them has been great...until now. While the Micro Clutch was shown as being compatible with my Canon EOS R7, it was very uncomfortable, and dug in between my fingers when I tried to get in a comfortable shooting position. Uncomfortable to the point where I had to return it. PD, please redesign this with a little more comfort and useability build in, and I'll give it another try.

5 stars for the product, it is built well and looks great. -1 star because it sits too far forward on the the X100VI, it doesn't sit flush with the front of the camera because of the screw hole placement on the camera. I wanted this to work so bad. If there was a bit more adjustability witht placement, this would be stellar!

Works like a dream on my Ricoh GR iiix. I have huge hands and with this clutch I can pretty much work the system with just one hand. I hope it's released in coyote very soon.

Breaks does the PD ecosystem. Inconvenient for battery swapping.

I use the I plate version on my OM-5 for a light kit. I don't use it with a tripod or capture clip. Comfort / usability: great. Super comfortable. I was worried it would slow me down in manual modes but it doesn't. I just keep my index finger free and only put my 3rd/4th fingers in the strap. It has a nice amount of cushion and flex. OM-5 fit: I plate fits great. Doesn't block the screen or SD card access. Does block the battery access but the included tool is really smart and convenient. Highly recommend for OM-5 users who want a light kit.

Mine arrived yesterday and I installed it on the camera right away. I wanted it to help me grip and shoot my smaller camera with more ease and it accomplishes just that. I now have the option of shooting/framing confidently with one hand. My E-PL7 was likely designed for smaller hands than mine and I had to cradle the camera with my left hand in order to shoot/frame subjects with my right. The micro- clutch helps with small cameras in a huge way. Haven't tried it on my larger a7C but have been using the full size hand clutch with that. Installation was easy. The clever and well designed embedded tool is a helpful sweet addition I didn't know about when ordering. Build quality is very nice and it maintains the small profile of camera.

I bought a Micro Clutch on Kickstarter, before they were available and I wasn't disappointed. It has a quality feel to it, and the (slight) intricacy of fitting the strap added to the interest and enjoyment of installing the thing. It fitted my Fujifilm X100V very nicely, but when I exchange the V for a VI the plate sits further forward on the base of the camera because the tripod hole is closer to the lens by a few millimetres. I'll see if my son wants it for his Leica Q2. I also have a L plate for my Fujifilm X-T5 and that is also a delight to use.

I purchased the Micro Clutch with an I plate for my Hasselblad X2D and I love it! I never thought such a small form factor of a grip would handle a medium format mirrorless camera. I highly recommend the clutch!

Really easy to attach and adjust. Gives a really secure grip. Lots of people complain about it covering the battery compartment, but with the included magnetic tool it's really quick to get in and out of. It would definitely be improved if it doubled as an arca plate, or had a 1/4-20 machined into it to accept a plate. I hate to have to carry too much small, easily lost hardware with me to be able to install the included plate.

I got this from kickstarter campaign and never used it. It's very uncomfortable to use on my Fuji XT3, I have small hands and using this strain my hands when taking a shot. They say no refund on kickstarter so I just put it on my cabinet and no plan of using it ever.

Doesn't work with Nikon Z5/Big Hands. Nice enough design, but Nikon Z5 is a larger mirrorless. Along with my big hands - it literally hurt my hands. Especially when wearing a ring on that hand. Easy nope in the first 30 seconds.

I have weak hands. I need that extra strap to hold the camera one-handed. It keeps me secure, it's soft and flexible so it feels comfortable and doesn't bulk up my camera when I'm trying to cram just one more accessory in the bag. The only drawback is that you need to remove it to change batteries.

Purchased for Sony A7 not a comfortable grip by any means the weight of the camera might make it ill suited for a clutch. However I added it to my partners Fuji X series camera and he was very satisfied with it as a grip. I personally think it suits the smaller frame of the fuji a bit better.

I bought the Micro Clutch when it first came out for my Fuji X-T4 and I love it, it makes the camera much more comfortable and secure to hold. I'm not giving it 5 stars because I bought another copy for my Fuji X100VI but it doesn't fit since Fuji moved the 1/4-20 mount. I'd love to use my Micro Clutch with the X100VI but I can't, I suggest PD to develop a new version that allows to to slide the screw forwards and backwards so we can fit it in more cameras like this one. I will buy a new copy as soon as it becomes available.

It is an okay product. Very tight and secure, but not for using long period of sessions. Battery exchanging is indeed annoying but got used to it and takes 20seconds now.

Overall I'm very happy with the Micro Clutch. The only complaint I have is that because it is less deep than my M10, and is positioned toward the back of the camera, it makes the camera tip forward with even a small lens. If that was fixed this would be a solid 5.

I bought this for my x100v and it has liberated it!! I no longer need a strap of any kind. This clutch gives me exactly the right amount of security and comfort when holding the camera. I can just throw the camera in my pocket or bag and grab it and shoot while knowing that it wont fall or be knocked out out of my hand. As a weird added bonus, while I thought removing the plate to change cards or batteries would not be so fun, it makes the x100 feel like an old film camera (think Leica) where to change the film, you open the camera from the bottom. I find it a nice analog process that slows me down a little - I really like that much more than I thought I would...

I think this is a must for Leica Q3 owners and I would update the compatibility chart with something like "partial compatibility". The minor issues around the SD card slot are pretty inconsequential given the Q3 supports transferring photos over USB and the FOTOS app. Holding the camera with the clutch and replacing the default strap with the leash is a huge quality of life improvement. Could not imagine using a Q camera without the clutch now.

I've been a huge Peak Design fan for years. It may be the brand for which I have more products. I love most of the PD items that I have. I loved the Clutch with my DSLR camera. I understand the complexities of designing the Micro Clutch, I accept that it is usable and it's better than not having it. It's just not as good of what I expect from Peak Design. This review is not to talk badly about PD, but to encourage them on the Second generation of the Micro Clutch, which I for sure will be buying.

I was sceptical on where the price justification would come from with this item but wow is it extremely well thought out. Great construction, perfect fit, feels solid and the magnetic tool is going nowhere. Brilliant

This is the first PD product I backed on Kickstarter that I actually dislike, and the more I use it the more frustrating it is. First of all, the clutch itself on my Canon R6 is just too snug even on the loosest setting, it's hard to fit my fingers in it comfortably and I have small hands! I barely use it because of that. Secondly and perhaps more importantly, the whole plate design is a disaster. The bottom clutch plate, when attached to the standard plate (for tripod use) is so finicky in use because sometimes it it just loosens up on its own and cause the whole camera to wobble, especially with a tripod. I've had to tighten it so many times. And thirdly, having the battery compartment blocked is just inconvenient in practice, Perhaps worth the pain if the clutch was a great feature for my camera/use-case but it wasn't for me. Sorry guys, not a fan. :(

Saw a review that said it doesnt work on the X-S20 very well but it's so cheap I was willing to roll the dice. Works totally fine I dont know if that other dude is just a baby or has weird hands but I love mine, makes me carry my camera more. Going to pick one up for my old X-E2S next (I got the L shaped for the X-S20)

Just got the "I-Plate" version for my new Leica Q3. Despite being listed by the PD team as not being compatible with the Q3, it works fine. Only hitch being that to access the SD card you first have to completely remove the screw. Not an issue. It works beautifully! It makes handling the camera so much easier compared to the cuff that I was using, and the fact that the tool is integrated along with full compatibility to the rest of the PD eco-system, makes for a perfect companion.

Bought this along with the capture clip for my A6000. It fits nice on the camera and is super easy to install. There's a small piece of the plate that sticks out on the handle, but it isn't uncomfortable. The adjustable strap took me a few minutes to adjust to fit the way I want to hold it, I use 2 fingers in the strap and I have fairly small hands. I do a lot of hiking and got the capture clip to go with this and the strap didn't get in the way, it actually made it a bit easier to get a grip and get the camera free from the capture clip.

I bought two Micro Clutches during Kickstarter for three cameras: Olympus E-M5 Mk III, Panasonic GX7, and Panasonic GX850. The units fit all three cameras fairly well: on the E-M5, it extended outside the front edge due to the tripod socket not being centred. It even works well on the GX850, which is actually shorter than the clutch base plate length. These Micro Clutches are well designed and the magnetic tool is a great idea. But here's the one fatal flaw that prevents a 5-star rating: PD decided to use plastic nubs over spacing holes, rather than the traditional velcro. As a result, the plastic nub is always rubbing against my finger and it feels very uncomfortable after a few minutes! Give me velcro any day!

When I purchased it was listed as compatible with the Fuji X-S10 / X-S20 and now it is not. It does not cut into my hand as mentioned in a review. I do have big hands which may be the reason. I traveled through Rome and London taking over 1000 shots without issue using the Fuji X-S10 and 18-55 f2.8 (heavy setup too)

I am still undecided if I prefer this one or the cuff. Both provide great ways to carry and handle your mirrorless camera with different approaches and experiences. In any case, if the Clutch experience is the best for you, I find this to work very well with my Xt2. And my initial concern about extra work when accessing the battery ended up being unfunded. The handling of the Clutch is very fast and practical for that.

L-Plate works great on Nikon Z6/7/ii
By Rob H.
Just fitted to a Nikon Z6 ii. As expected from PD, build quality is excellent (this thing is manufactured to very tight tolerances). It's very adjustable - maybe more so than the installation photos suggest (the retaining pin is fully removable, allowing for full adjustment of the strap). Personally I appreciated the little touches such as the triangle clip tool. And the engraved markers on the plate. Replaced a normal clutch that was just far too big for small mirrorless - bravo PD for li...

Exactly What I have been missing!

Writing this to counteract the one negative review here. This product from all the videos and information provided looks to be very well thought out. I like the inclusion of the tripod plate and the built in tool. Always a plus to have a tool that though specific/one of kind has a function and does its job. The attention to detail here is stunning. Based on what I see the overall look and feel of this product leave no doubts in my mind as to just how wonderfully it will function. I am tr...
