I bought the Hydrophobia D 24-70 for a trip to Iceland and the Faroe Islands as there is often rain with wind in both destinations. Cover was high quality but it was difficult to adjust camera settings once the camera was covered. Would not recommend this particular cover.

I finally had the need to use my Hydrophobia rain cover during the IndyCar weekend at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin this past June. I had previously reviewed the instructions, which I highly recommend, so I was able to get the eyepiece and the cover onto my camera relatively quickly and correctly when it became apparent that I was going to need to need it. Once in place, it worked extremely well. I was able to use all of the camera functions that I needed to, with the cover in place. It kept my camera and my hands dry. Focusing and zooming in and out worked flawlessly. The rain stopped and restarted several times, but by rolling back the cover as explained in the instructions, I was able to use my camera quite easily without taking the cover completely off. When the rain restarted, it was a quick and simple process to roll the cover right back into place. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who shoots outdoors in the elements.

We were making a trip to Alaska specifically for pictures to sell as Fine art on our website. I knew that the chance of rain in Alaska was a 100% certainty so I did my research on what best way to protect my camera and lens. My criteria was to get the best overall protection while still being able to use all of the camera's functions including the viewfinder. After looking at several different options, I settled on the Think Tank Hydrophobia® D 70-200. After shooting in 3 days out of 5 of constant rain I can say with confidence, I made the correct choice in rain protection for my camera and lens. This rain cover worked without any problems keeping everything dry while still allowing me access to all camera controls and functions. If you will be shooting in inclement weather this rain cover is what you need, just do not miss purchasing the specific viewfinder attachment for your particular camera so you can completely seal off the wetness and still be able to use the viewfinder (Part sold separately).

I am overall very satisfied with the quality of this cover. I used it on a Canon R5 with both a 70-200mm and 100-500mm lens and it worked for both. Highly recommend!

While I have shopped around exploring all the ways to keep my camera dry or dust free, Think Tank has made the best option I have found. I highly recommend getting the eye pieces to accompany the cover. Without them, the cover may slouch and become difficult to use. All rain covers get fog on the clear window after wet hands have gone in and out the cover, the eye piece again will keep you on the target. While it is a little oversized, I prefer this cover for my Sony 200-600mm. It gives me room to manipulate the camera and lens without it creeping back on the lens.

I can finally stop using hotel shower caps as rain covers! As I use the 70-200 lens most of the time this is the exact cover I need.

Right when you order an expensive piece of gear, your first investment (should be with the order) needs to be protective gear for it.

this definitely works. It's big bulkier than I expected but I get it way, it's a better build than the previous model. Works great

There are many options available, but for all day protection and features that allow you to fully operate the camera, Hydrophobia is the cover to have. ***Buyer beware, these covers are designed for DLSRs and specific Sony mirrorless cameras. Take a minute to get the correct eyepiece for your system. With the correct eyepiece these covers are fantastic. Like many, I recently transitioned to mirrorless (Canon) so I'll have to use my Think Tank Emergency Rain covers for the time being. I'm keeping a DSLR (or two) and my Hydrophobia covers will see continued service (there may even be an Exacto knife and some gaffer tape in my future to make these covers work with my new cameras.)

Was in need of a new rain cover and asked around and every photographer said to go with the ThinkTank cover. I have been very happy with it and has kept my camera and long glass dry.

I was so happy with my rain cover for my long glass that I purchased a cover for my 70-200. It is a great accessory to have available.

Very happy with that cover. It is very easy to handle, both handheld, and with a tripod (although on a tripod you'll be limited to landscape orientation), and is truly waterproof. I used it for two days under heavy rain and hail, and the camera did not catch a single drop of water. It did get fogged at one time, but I think it was because it was not fully closed while on a tripod. And the quality is top notch.

Planning a shoot in a month that is almost certain to include rain, and this cover promises to be a fantastic solution! Purchased based on Think Tank recommendation for a Fujifilm GFX100 with a 250mm lens, and the fit is great. I've used rain covers before that offer little access to and display of controls without compromising the seal, and this product solves all that. Great design for full functionality while keeping things dry. Very happy with this purchase.

Because of the need to use an eyepiece to make this work, and that eyepiece will only work on a Canon, everyone else is out if luck. Shortsighted and unfortunate on think tank's part.

Thankyou for the cover. Received today, will certainly come in handy. I was caught out in a sand storm when I was photographing in Dubai and after a little research I ordered the 24-70mm think tank cover. I am so glad I did. As a pro photographer I will use this again and again, the quality is awesome and I now feel confident that my canon 5d is fully protected in all weather conditions. I'm due on an assignment to Iceland new month and and looking forward to using this great cover. Thanks . Craig @ Roverhorizon

I have these fo my DSLR cameras but since the eyepiece on my mirrorless is not removable this product won?t work. Will Thinktank be addressing that issue in a newer version?

When I ordered it I was not sure that the medium size rain cover will fit my Blackmagic Pocket Camera 6K with my Canon 70-200mm f4 lens. However, I'm glad to say that it does the job very well. I have used it outside in the rain and snow and it works great. The only reason for giving it 3 stars is because I found that the see through window gets easily scratched. In spite of being very careful, I have found some annoying scratches on it. Great product otherwise, highly recommended.

A great bit of kit. Takes a bit to put on but it is worth it. I shoot motorsport so to have such great protection for very expensive camera gear is great. Standing out all day in not always the best of weather this gives you the confidence to shoot without worrying about damaging your gear

Owning a Nikon D850 with numerous prime lens from 14mm - 300mm and a avid landscape photographer many times I find myself in weather conditions that are rainy or will rain soon. I checked out many companies weather protection covers and after testing and using the 3 ones (this one being the largest size) mentioned above are simply the best. Yes, they are expensive, but their the best. With these 3 Covers I can protect any of my lens and cameras on a tripod. The only grip I have is the fact that too get ??% protection you must purchase an optional eye piece for and additional twenty dollars which I feel should be included. Come with an excellent storage bag labeled and attached to the cover is a storage pouch for the eyepiece. The cover offers ample room for hands to operate the camera and lens plus a view window that affords every camera control viewable. Simply the best weather protection cover available.

I photograph using numerous prone lens from 14mm - 300mm. Over the years I’ve purchased many camera bad weather protection covers. Earlier this month I saw this cover on B&H’s site. I purchased this Hydrophoia cover in all three (3) sizes plus the optional eye piece. Problem solved .... every other cover I purchased in the past left me dissatisfied for one reason or another which was always worrisome since I use all Nikon Prime lens that as you know are not cheap. This cover affords me the protection I was always looking to acquire. Built to last, fits well and easy too put on and photograph with. Made from waterproof material seamed, oversized plastic view window and the ease upon which I can go into the cover and operate the camera controls very acceptable. Now, I alway leave the shooting location with a perfectly dry camera. What more can I say other than it reminds me when I purchased my first tripod and worked my way up to a Gitzo and RRS. Lessons learned. Buy it and use it with confidence.

This was a replacement Hydrophobia. After years of use in rain on 5 continents, snow on 4 continents and desert sands on 2 continents my old one finally wore out. The product seals up my camera/lens beautifully while allowing me full access to my controls. I couldn't recommend this product more highly.

This product maintains the high quality I have come to expect from Think Tank. Numerous small ergonomic improvements over previous versions of this rain cover were a pleasant surprise.

As an Equestrian & Wildlife Photographer and Video Maker, I am always shooting out in the elements, which can be rather harsh at times. Shoot Horse Jumping Competitions, which take place rain r shine. The Hydrophobia V3.0 Raincover's make sure my gear stays dry for a days shooting no matter what the weather. Plus, I have tried many, many different rain covers and these ones from Think Tank Photo are THE BEST in quality, usability and longevity! Never leave my studio without one in my bag or backpack!

After struggling with an Aquatech sleeve for years,I was BLOWN AWAY by the quality of the Hydrophobia. Moreover, slipping it over my 400 2.8 was almost effortless, a welcome change from the Aquatech. Being able to actually see my camera controls is amazing. If you need a rain sleeve, you can't go wrong with the Hydrophobia.

Today, I had to shoot a track meet, outdoors, and in the rain. I normally avoid bad weather, but this time, I couldn’t. Kept everything dry. Other photographers noticed and kept asking about it. Great product!

I was very impressed with how well the Hydrophobia D24-70 V3.0 rain cover is made and the design of it. I am certain it will be effective, yet ironically, since I purchased it, we have had NO rain in all three places I took it - Slovenia, Utah and my home area of northern California. But as we head into our rainy season here, I am looking forward to using it and will followup with another review after I get the opportunity.

Designed specifically for DSLR cameras with 70-200mm f/2.8 lens.
Hydrophobia rain covers are highest quality and most protective rain cover on the market. Constructed with durable 3-layer material and seam-sealed, your gear is extremely well protected from downpour or dusty conditions.
Note: Separate eyepiece required.
