SANG L : What is the latency of the HDMI input signal as far as appearing on your computer?  Could you, for example, play and record gaming console games using your computer monitor (since this does not have passthrough output)?WARREN L : The latency from video output to visual registration on the streaming software of your choice is very minimal. So little that I would deem it negligible (noticeable but not horrible by any means) for playing non-competitive games, not requiring swift reaction. Even if swift reaction were a factor, the latency would be bearable for an novice player. Of course, my counsel on the matter would be dependent on other factors, such as: 1) Making sure that the USB port being utilized IS, in-fact, 3.0 or better. 2) Using a high-bandwidth HDMI cable (1.4 spec or higher) 3) Other populated USB ports do not have high traffic simultaneously and a few other small details.FERNANDO J : I did not try this. Latency with a camera was really noticeable.

No fuss. It just works, and it looks great!

This capture card couldn't be more straightforward. I plugged it in, opened OSB with my iPhone attached to the card via an Lightning to HDMI convertor and the camera app open. BAM! It just worked. There was no special adjustment needed, no fuss. It just worked. If you just need to get the picture to your computer for streaming and don't need an h.264 encoder, look no further.

Great, quality, rigid, all-metal construction. POSITIVES: Hassle-free USB 3.0 plug-n-play. Awesome image quality throughput with negligible latency. Metal body construction offers contributes greatly toward heat dissipation. Device-direct customizable color grading within streaming software. Independent End-user Frame-rate selections available; from camera mode delivered frame-rate. Registers as a new device for each USB port, making I/O profiling an option to create multiple scenes within OBS (only OBS tested) with independent camera settings for each. Not limited to camera capture. NEGATIVES: Ships in thin foam, internally adhesive anti-shifting bag. Keeps the item in-place within the bag, but offers no protection from rough handling during transit. Can be damaged easily during shipping due to shipping packaging offering no impact/pressure protection, in combination with light-material retail packing. Does not come with a protective cap nor plug for either end of the device.

Hardware is not that secure.

Connection is ok. Device is recognized, instantly. Concerned that the USB portion is not secure to the port on the laptop computer. It is very loose. It can become unplugged VERY easily.
