Questions & Answers

STEPHANIE L : will this fit a canon eos rebel xsi (ef-s lens mount)?PETER D : YEspecially works great contact tech support at Adoramma they are very goodLON D : I have three earlier models of the eos rebel and this works great with all of them. Lens allows for some great creativity and is fun to use.
WILLIAM M : will this fit a canon eos rebel sl1?PETER D : Yes should fit canon mountLON D : I've had several Canon eos Rebels but never an sl1. All my EF lenses are interchangeable. I think the key word is EF. I'd take a chance because you get a lot of cool effects with great results for decent money. LonHILDE W : yes....and btw i love this lens!!!GUN T : Yes, it will compatible with all Canon DSLR.MICHELLE H : I use this lens with my Canon 60D. Since the canon lenses can all be swapped with other canons, I say yes, it does. BTW - I LOVE this lens and optic! Everything else I've purchased was for practical use for portraits. This was my own "just for fun" gift to myself.STEPHEN K : I don't know - contact Lensbaby, I use canon 5D mark III
Sus C : Can you put a polarizer on a lens baby composer pro?Sus C : Not on the Sweet 35. There are step up/shade filter accessories for other opticsDennis M : There is no PL that fits the the Lensbaby Composer Pro to the best of my knowledge. You could probably handhold a circular polarizer in front of the lens or jury-rig something to hold a Cokin P filter if you really want to use a polarizer with the lensbaby. Suggest emailing Lensbaby or contacting their customer support and seeing what they say.RAYBURN B : I don't know.I think it's a 37mm thread, so you may need an adapter to go to 52mm for a polarizer. Not certain, though, as I have not needed it, yet.

A Soluition for a "Busy" Photograph

Often a great shot is complicated by "busy" surroundings. The selective focus area of this lens solves the problem nicely and saves post-photo processing. The very wide F/2.5 opening helps a lot with low-light photographs.

Lensbaby Composer Pro w/Sweet 35 Optic

I now use the Lensbaby Composer Pro with the Sweet 35 Optic almost exclusively in my sports and street photography. After shooting with "standard" lens for all of my career the Lensbaby system makes me feel like a kid again. The Composer Pro is very straight forward in it's design and function. As is the Sweet 35 Optic. The learning curve was very shallow. Once you have a basic knowledge of how the system works all thats left is to have fun. And I have been having a lot of fun since making this purchase. Thank you Lensbaby and Adorama!

This is Realy Fun!

It is amazing how a "busy" backgound can be minimized with one of these. I use the widest lens opening and let the camera pick the shutter speed. It could not be easier!

Fun Lens great price

I have had this lens for two weeks and must admit that it takes some getting use to. However, if you take the advice on the web page and start out usinf f4-5.6 things become easier. I also like that the manual nature of this lens is helping me expand my photographic knowledge and skill. I like this lens but if you are not patient it may not be the lens for you.

Jurry is still out.

It will give your light meter issues which I understand why. It is very sharp even with the Sweet 35 optic and a professional lighing setup. It could be very difficult to focus for users that don't understand how this lens works. It can create very nice bokeh and interesting looks. The jurry is still out on this one. I will still keep playing with it.

For Tilt Focus Enthusiasts!

I'm a portrait and fashion photographer - and I bought this to be able to add interesting focal points when working in the field or at events. The lens is manual and therefore your ISO and shutter speed determine your results. It's definitely a better result when using high contrast scenes if you shoot in low-light environments - but it's a lot of fun. The manual tilt mechanism requires a little playing with before you use it in any kind of pressure situation - but after a few hours of manipulating it, you should be happy with the ease of use.
