Rated 5 out of 5

Excellent lens!

The lens is pretty good for nature. I've been using it for the last several years to take panoramic photos from fire towers throughout North East US. However, consider that I'd suggest to use EVF viewfinder along with the lens to make focusing really accurate.

Optically high-end, but a challenge to focus with the rangefinder

Uber sharp lens used with the MP240, but also a tricky one to focus at distance but short of infinity. Can easily do so through the EVF-2 and I HIGHLY recommend this lens being used only with the EVF. Otherwise could (is!) frustrating to try and do consistently with the rangefinder.

You can elevate your photography to professional heights with the Leica 135mm f/3.4 APO-Telyt-M Lens, the quintessential choice for the discerning photographer seeking unparalleled sharpness and clarity. As the longest focal length available in the Leica M-System, this lens is a powerhouse for capturing expansive landscapes, bringing distant scenes closer with its telephoto capabilities. Its ability to visually compress the space between foreground and background adds a dramatic effect to your images, enhancing the storytelling aspect of your photography.

The Leica 135mm f/3.4 APO-Telyt-M Lens is not just about reaching further; it's about capturing life's moments with precision and subtlety. Frame-filling portraits become a work of art, allowing you to photograph subjects from a comfortable distance without causing any disturbance, preserving the authenticity of the moment.

Replacing its predecessors of the same focal length, the f/2.8 and f/4 models, this lens sets a new standard in image quality. Its apochromatic (APO) design ensures that chromatic aberrations are virtually eliminated, resulting in images with crystal-clear sharpness, even when shooting wide open at f/3.4. The lens's superior resolving power and contrast deliver photographs with a three-dimensional quality and a level of detail that satisfies the most demanding professionals.

Constructed with the photographer's needs in mind, the Leica 135mm f/3.4 APO-Telyt-M Lens boasts a lightweight and compact design, making it an ideal companion for on-the-go shooting without compromising on quality. Its ease of operation is further enhanced by a built-in sliding lens hood, which provides convenient protection against flare and ghosting.

In terms of technical prowess, the lens's apochromatic color correction ensures that each photograph is free from distortions and maintains consistent illumination across the frame, even at its maximum aperture. This results in images that are true to life, with rich contrasts and meticulous detail rendition.

Compatible with a wide array of Leica M cameras, including the latest models such as the Leica M10-R and Leica M11-P, this lens is a versatile addition to any photographer's toolkit. Whether you're capturing the subtle nuances of street photography, the dynamic action of sports, or the intimate details of portraiture, the Leica 135mm f/3.4 APO-Telyt-M Lens delivers performance that exceeds expectations, time and time again.
