The Libec LS-85(2C) is a Tripod System. The foundation of the LS-85(2C) is the robust T98C two-stage carbon fiber tripod with dual-tube construction. Carbon fiber composites are lighter and stronger than aluminum and offer the added advantage of absorbing vibration. In contrast, time-tested rotary clamps firmly lock each section, regardless of temperature fluctuations. Hard rubber feet terminate each leg to stand firmly alone, or in conjunction with the included SP-1 ground-level spreader. For uncomplicated, secure transport, a convenient mechanism quickly hooks all three legs together when collapsed.

Seated firmly in the 100 mm levelling bowl, the H85 fluid head includes one PH-7 pan arm, but has a second rosette for dual or left-handed configurations. For varying lens and camera combinations, the continuously variable counterbalance and sliding camera plate provide finger-tip handling up to the load limit of 38.0 lb (17.2 kg). The continuously variable true fluid drag provides precisely the right amount of dampening you need with a twist of a knob.
