Shopper : Since the actual lenses are interchangeable, I'm confused about the rubber housing. Does the housing come with each lens. Kind of defeats the point of being interchangeable? Help!LONNIE L : There really isn't a rubber housing. It's plastic on the spark. It is used to focus the lens. It is part of the lens. Non removable. When they refer to the lens being interchangeable, they are talking about it being interchangeable on the camera not taking it apart and mixing it with other lenses. Lensbabys are selective focus. They are lots of fun to be creative with.THOMAS M : There is nothing interchangeable on the Lensbaby spark. It does take some diaphragm disks that I believe can be used on some of the other lenses. I think you have confused Adorama's list of recommended Lensbaby products as accessories, which they are not, they are additional lenses.

ELLIOTT A : will it work on nikon d3100?ANTHONY S : I use it on a nikon d60 and a d7000. Make sure you put it on straight. I cross threaded it on D7000 the first time and was hard to get off.ANDREY V : yes. But you will need to use manual mode and you will have control over shatter speed only.BENJIMAN M : Yes.FAITH R : It'll fit. You can take pictures. I won't meter, you've got to shoot on manual. It doesn't focus either.

Fun but challenging

Its so cheap, I just got it for fun. I have been free lensing and finally got the hang of that when I decided to try this. I have a very hard time nailing the focus in camera. But this could just be me. I really do like this lens and I have only used it a select number of times. I'm sure as I continue to practice with it, that will make it easier :)

The Spark from Lensbaby, is a fun and affordable way to capture selective focus images with a digital SLR. Spark features a unique selective focus optic and a tilting lens body, allowing the aspiring enthusiast photographer to capture creative images in-camera that have a sweet spot of focus, surrounded by blur.

Spark is a lightweight, all plastic (except for the optic, which is a multi-coated glass doublet) 50mm selective focus lens with a f/5.6 fixed aperture available for Canon and Nikon DSLRs.

Spark is the perfect entry point into the Lensbaby system for photography students or newer photographers looking to expand their experiment and add a creative lens to their camera bag. Spark is compatible with the rest of the optics in the Optic Swap System, and with all Lensbaby 37mm threaded accessory lenses.
