Bob S.CHRIS T : I'm sorry but I can't answer that. I know that it works with Panasonic and Sony that use the LANC connector. Panasonic and Sony are not the same but there is a switch on the side to choose. From what I understand, not even all the SONY LANC are the same. The Sony's that I use it with are from around 2005 to 2010 era and it works with all of those. I also understand that some Canon's use the same system. Unfortunately, the only Canon I have is the VIXIA HV30 and it doesn't have a LANC jack for me to try it. Maybe look for a good return policy so that if it doesn't work you can return it.UNIVERSITY R : Without seeing your actual camera it's hard to say. We own a Vixia but it does not have the remote. The connection from the Libec is something like a 3/16 stereo cord. Whatever the size is, it's smaller than the connector on a standard set of iPod earbuds. If your camera has a tiny hole like that, I'd say there's a good chance it will work.LESLIE H : Or cameras are panasonic but this thumb zoom is completely universal and should attach on your camera as well.

Perfect for my needs

I'm a wedding videographer and mainly shoot from a monopod. I like to keep my left hand on the focus ring. This makes it difficult to keep the camera steady, focus and zoom when needed. This device solved my problem and the price is great. It has the only two functions I want on a remote... start/stop and zoom. I don't want extras like photo or on/off. It operates very smoothly and I can zoom in slower with this control than I can with my on camera zooms (I use Sony VX2100, PD170 and HVRZ5U). This is another plus for me because for the most part I don't zoom and when I do, I want it very slow and graceful. On the slightly negative side, when I want a really fast zoom, the fast side of the rocker is not fast enough for me. But since I don't use a rapid zoom very often and I can always use the zoom ring on the camera for that, it's not a problem. Don't get me wrong, you can zoom fast with this control but when I'm using a fast zoom, I want super fast. I'm more concerned with a super slow zoom and I get it with this control. It fits great on the handle of my Manfrotto monopod and it feels well made and high quality. I ended up buying several more for some of my other tripods and monopods.

the grat about is that you can use it for mor than one cammera and its very easy to use too and of course the price is reasanable.

Very good, It mounts easlily.

Very easy to adapt to my shoulder mount, my Halorig and my tripod. Just get the optional D connector for Sony AVCHD Cameras and you can control the zoom and record stop/run function.

The Libec ZC-3DV Zoom Control allows the use of both LANC and Panasonic Mini DV cameras, switching simply by using the converter switch.
