An essential accessory for wildlife photographers, the LensCoat Lens Cover for the Canon 100-400mm IS f/3.5-f/5.6 Zoom Lens in Army Digital Camo is designed to seamlessly blend your lens into the natural environment. The conspicuous nature of a large white or black lens can often startle sensitive wildlife, potentially spoiling a unique photo opportunity. This lens cover effectively camouflages your 100mm to 400mm lens, enhancing your chances of capturing that perfect shot.
Constructed from 100% closed-cell neoprene, the LensCoat Lens Cover offers robust protection against everyday wear and tear. It safeguards your lens from bumps, jars, and nicks, ensuring its longevity. The cover is adorned with a camouflage-pattern fabric, perfect for blending into a variety of natural settings.
Beyond its protective qualities, the LensCoat Lens Cover also serves as a thermal barrier. It shields your hands from the cold metal of the lens in lower temperatures, making it a practical addition to your photography gear in all seasons.
The lens cover is designed for easy installation and removal, leaving no residue on the lens. It's waterproof, offering additional protection in harsh weather conditions.
The LensCoat Lens Cover is thoughtfully designed with a clear, flexible UV-PVC window over the AF/IS/VR controls and the distance-scale window. It also features custom holes that reveal the red-dot for effortless alignment to the camera body without needing to remove the cover.
The LensCoat for Canon 100-400 IS is designed with a small hole on the last segment that aligns with the red dot indicator, simplifying the process of lining up your lens with the camera mount, even with the cover installed. Please note that due to the lens barrel's extension and retraction mechanism, the LensCoat Canon 100-400 IS does not cover the fixed portion of the lens barrel, leaving approximately 3 inches exposed when the lens is fully extended.
