Together with the APO-Televid Spotting scope the Eyepiece 25-50x WW ASPH provides pictures rich in contrast and natural in colors.

User-optimized
Besides its fine image performance, the Leica Eyepiece incorporates many features for maximum robustness and protection. It can quickly and securely be attached to the spotting scope. The rubber-armored functional components and practical rotation eyecups ensure excellent viewing comfort. In addition, the eyepiece is waterproof to a depth of 16.5ft./5 m and nitrogen filled to prevent internal fogging.

Get closer than ever before
When you don't want to miss any of nature's fascinating details, you need to get closer. That is why Leica has developed the Extender 1.8x for Leica APO-Televid spotting scopes (angled viewing). In combination with the Leica Eyepiece, it allows 45- up to 90-fold magnification. With this unprecedented expansion of the zoom range, wildlife, nature and astronomical observations as well as digiscoping become an even greater pleasure.

An integrated, automatic lock on the bayonet connector allows quick and easy attachment of the extender between the spotting scope and eyepiece. Thus, the Leica APO Televid can then be adapted to all applications in no time and becomes even more versatile.

- 1.8x Extender -
The 1.8x Extender from Leica is an eyepiece extension adapter for angled Leica APO-Televid 65 mm or 82 mm Spotting Scope and the Leica 25-50x WW ASPH Eyepiece. This extender has an achromatic doublet lens and increases a spotting scope's magnification by 1.8 times. A 50x magnification of a spotting scope thus can be increased to 90x. The extender's integrated automatic lock allows for a quick and easy attachment between a spotting scope and an eyepiece.

- GT2542 Mountaineer Series 2 Carbon Fiber Tripod -
The Gitzo GT2542 Mountaineer Series 2 Carbon Fiber 4 Sections Tripod features Carbon exact tubing, which includes High Modulus carbon fiber in the lower leg sections, adding to their diameters and making the tripod more rigid and stronger than its predecessor. The GT2542 has a load capacity of 39.68lbs, extends to a maximum height of 65.75" and folds down to 22" for transport.

The center column on the tripod can be removed for Ground Level Set, which enables the tripod to reach its lowest height of 5.9". Its four-section legs are secured with twist locks that incorporate G-lock Ultra, which has an internal O-ring to prevent dust and particles from entering the leg system. The top spider has been redesigned to add rigidity and large leg angle selectors give you more area to grip when readjusting leg angles. A ballast hook on the center column allows you to add weight to increase the tripod's stability.

Reversible Column
The rapid column can easily be inverted for an alternative shooting angle or low level macro work.

Hook
This built-in accessory allows you to hang a stabilizing weight (e.g. a full camera bag or a sand/water bag) from the bottom of the tripod center column. Useful with long/heavy lenses, on uneven ground or in windy conditions.

Removable feet
It allows you to easily change worn out rubber feet or to fit other accessories, such as spiked feet or snow/sand shoes.

Carbon Exact
Revolutionary Carbon exact tubes are even stiffer to maximize rigidity and image stability. Carbon exact optimizes the fiber composition for each tube size, using HM (High Modulus) carbon fiber in the narrower tubes to make them stiffer. The tube diameters are also optimized: the final leg section of a 4 section Series 1 tripod is now 22.5% thicker than its predecessor.

G-lock Ultra
It has been redesigned from the inside out; G-lock Ultra is smoother and softer to use and is designed to reduce dust and grit from getting in.

Ground Level Set (with Unlocking Ring)
The Ground Level Set mechanism permits to remove the center column to get the camera closer to the ground. A single simple unlocking ring under the column's upper disc frees the column while keeping the upper disc solidly in place on the tripod (Patent Pending).

Leg Angle Selector with Spring
Offers large grip space and features a built-in spring to help speed up switches between the 3 leg angles.

Gitzo introduces the first, the only, 100% birdwatching heads

Birdwatching makes completely different demands on equipment used for video or photo applications.

Almost all birdwatchers currently use tripod heads specifically developed to support video or photo equipment, which means the heads tend to be larger, heavier and more complicated than is needed for birdwatching.

These two Gitzo heads - available in series 1 and 2 sizes - have been developed with one aim in mind: to make them the first, the only, 100% birdwatching heads.

An unconventional technical approach was used in developing these heads to guarantee ultra stable, precise observation, thanks to three innovations and improvements: fluid cartridges designed specifically for birdwatching, the Single Lock System and high-precision internal components and mechanisms.

Fluid cartridges on pan and tilt axes give ultra smooth movements that adapt perfectly to speed - from delicately controlled at low speeds (the holy grail for birdwatchers, this makes distance spotting and tracking much easier), to almost completely friction-free at high speeds (useful when fast equipment repositioning is required).

A single lock is the other specific innovation for birdwatching. Pan and Tilt movements are locked and frictioned in parallel by a single large control knob, making head adjustment simpler, faster and more effective than ever before.

All internal mechanisms are tuned to give maximum control and to eliminate even the smallest give or play. The overall design has been optimized to produce a head which is extremely solid, yet lightweight and compact.
