Great experience, will do business again

I got this for my partner, who doesn't want to lug around a big pair of binoculars but is past the point of being able to rely on cheap junk. These binoculars are great, and were delivered very quickly at a competitive price. I'll continue to do business with Adorama when I finally get around to buying a spotting scope, maybe some lenses as well.

Amazing vision, ok handling, but you get used to it.

The good: The quality of optics is amazing. They are lightweight, which I needed b/c of neck issues. They are very compact (great for travel). The neutral: You can use them wearing your glasses, but it needs a very steady hand and training (I still prefer to take my glasses off) The not-so-good: It takes getting used to binoculars that don’t really “lie” well on your eyes (and yes, I do pull the eye piece out!). The eye piece (or whatever you call it) is very small, so you can’t really comfortably rest it on your face. My eye lashes (which are above average long) keep on “bumping” on the eye piece. I found a workaround by purchasing a rubber ring by fieldoptics, which darkens the sides, but also adds the benefit that the binoculars can be somewhat “rested” on my face, which makes them more stable. I wished Leika offered such an add-on and I would not have had to search the internet to even figure out how to solve the issue.

The Leica 8x42 Trinovid Binocular is not only robust, but also ideal for use in conditions of low visibility and poor light, thanks to their exceptional image brightness. The compact housing contains remarkably precise technology and the large focus wheel is fantastically practical and easy to use. It is ergonomically designed to sit comfortably in your hand so you can set the focus quickly and accurately in every situation. The short focusing range which can be achieved with just over one rotation of the focus wheel means that the Silverline binoculars can be precisely focused in seconds.
