If you own a Leica SL (Type 601) and have Leica R ROM equipped lenses this adapter is a must have.  The price seems high but it is like a high quality Leica lens without the glass.  It is typical Leica build. The adapter automatically and correctly identifies R lenses that are ROM equipped and writes the metadata to the camera file.  It also transfers the correct metadata with Leica R ROM zoom lenses throughout the zoom range (e.g., if your 35-70 R zoom is set to 45, then 45 will appear in the metadata).  It also transfers the zoom information to a Leica flash.  The adapter comes with a robust lens foot for longer lenses that is removable without a tool.  If you have (or want to obtain) Leica R ROM glass then the Leica R- Adapter L is a must have.
