Works much better than a silicone cover, since it offer protection from rain, splash and vibration, as well as accidental bumping, etc. I usually carry several bodies at once, and sometime from moving vehicles. This cover gives an extra layer of protection, while providing access to vital controls. Feels really good in winter,

Good product, could be better

I'm a professional stage photographer. This product is very good for silent environment e.g. stage photography and take pic for small baby.

Ok protection but Not what I expected

This item works to protect my camera from some lumps, bumps and other mild hiccups. Its difficult to operate the camera while its in this . I like to have access to my cards and batteries (i use a grip) at all times. Its nice to have inside my camera duck pouch if I'm in driving rains and snows. It does not have a hole for a tripod/monopod 1/4" screw. I had to cut one. If you are a Video DSLR person this will be frustrating but could save your camera in certain situations (like snow). If you are a still photog, then its probably a better fit for you. I would recommend this item but under certain conditions.

The LensCoat BodyGuard Pro CB (Clear Back) is a camera body cover made from soft shock-absorbing neoprene, protecting your camera from the nicks, dings and scratches of accidental impact WHILE YOUR LENS IS ATTACHED.

Like the BodyGuard Pro it also keeps the camera body free from dust and dirt as well as protects itfrom the elements AND it REDUCES SHUTTER NOISE. The BodyGuard Pro CB has a clearplastic back allowing you to use the camera with the cover on.

Most buttons and switches can be accessed through the thin plastic back. The BodyGuard Pro CB also has finger access slits on the side for additional access to buttons and switches.

The shutter button can easily be depressed through the neoprene or by sliding you finger under the cover. The BodyGuard Pro CB goes on and off easily allowing you to change batteries and memory cards quick and easy and has access for flash and camera straps.
