The Leica M – P 240 black coupled with the 50 mm summilux f1.4 ASPH are simply an outstanding combination of camera and lens for photography. A true classic

Coming from a fine Canon 5DIII this camera is far superior in producing extraordinary photos. I can now focus manually as fast or faster than auto focus and accurately. I actually focus on the element I choose, not some cross type mystical reference the camera chooses. With a 50mm f/1.4 Leica lens I get photos that are sharp from edge to edge. The manual camera makes me think again about photography and not get lazy with autofocus auto everything. Outstanding, small, easy to use around people and in crowds..no regrets here.

I have owned a Leica M6 for many years and have waited for a digital version of that fine camera for some time. For me, the MP 240 is that camera. It combines many of the traditional features of a Leica rangefinder, with the convenience of taking digital photographs. It's a bit larger, but truly feels great in my hands. It is expensive, but Adorama's pricing was better than anyone else's. I have only owned it for about a week and I am looking forward to taking pictures with it for many years to come.

I was getting tired of lugging around my 5DM3 and decided after extensive research that I wanted to give a Leica Range Finger a go. I paired it with a Summilux 50/1.4 and couldn't be happier with the combo. First impression is that there is no doubt Leica is handmade and all, about quality. The camera and lens both come with a signature card of the final inspector. Menu options are straight forward and not near as detailed as most SLR's. Learning to use a manual focusing range finder has been fun. This is the first camera that has me wanting to go out just to take pictures even when I'm not on vacation. Maybe I'm just drinking the Kool-aid but there is something special about owning and using this camera. No regrets.

Leica Camera marks Canada's 150th Anniversary with the Leica M-P (Typ 240) "CANADA EDITION" Set. Consisting of a Leica M-P (Typ 240) and Leica Summicron-M 35 mm f/2.0 ASPH, the camera and lens are engraved with the official "Canada 150" emblem. The engraving is a stylized maple leaf with the shape of 13 diamonds which represents Canada's provinces while the four inner diamond shapes represent Canada's initial provinces at Confederation.
The Leica M-P (Typ 240) body has a silver chrome finish and red cowhide leather with the wordings "Canada 150" engraved on the top plate to mark the occasion. The Leica Summicron-M 35 mm f/2.0 ASPH silver anodized lens has the same engraving. The camera's special serial number is engraved on the hot shoe while the serial number of the lens is engraved on the front ring. A Leica Red Rope Strap to complement the leather wrap and red engravings and a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Leica Camera AG's CEO, Matthias Harsch are included in the set. The Leica M-P (Typ 240) "CANADA EDITION" Set is limited to 25 pieces worldwide
