So, I bought this 300mm f/2.8 prime lens to use with my sports photography. This lens is not cheap, and if you have ever done any sports photography, you know that your equipment takes a beating. So, if you want to help protect that investment from bumps and scratches, you might think about getting a lens coat for it. Also, if you have to sell your lens sometime down the road, this will help keep the value of the lens. I followed the directions, and it went on very easily. Although, there is one drawback that I have noticed already...The Lens Coat covers the focus lock buttons on the lens, so they are not easy access. Those buttons need to be easy access, so it looks like my lens is going to be half dressed....Which will be sort of okay, because it seems that it is the lens hood that takes the biggest beating. I will just have to be a little more careful when I am handling the lens. All in all I think that it is a good protector for your lens on a day to day basis. It is not gong to help that much if you drop the lens, but, if you sell your lens, you will know that you have an almost brand new lens body under that coat.
