Review Summary

This lens cover is very robust and provides great protection against dings and the elements. It is separated into several sections but is not the easiest to put on and take off. Think of this as a permanent part of your lens once installed. My only disappointment is in some of the stitching quality, which begins to tear with use.

I purchased this from the UK as it's not available here willing to paying the higher value for transport and tax etc. The pieces are of good quality but items need to be better marked for location. At this moment I am unsure this was the right decision it baulks/interferes with use from what i am used only time will tell.

After spending all that $ on big glass, why would you not protect it?! Plus, I love that it is camo which helps with the wildlife shoots.

With the LensCoat Lens Cover in Forest Green Camo designed specifically for the Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 EX DG OS APO HSM AF Lens, photographers can seamlessly blend into natural environments while safeguarding their valuable equipment. This premium lens cover is crafted from 100% closed-cell neoprene, a material renowned for its resilience, offering superior protection against the inevitable bumps and scratches that come with active fieldwork.
The forest green camouflage pattern is not just for aesthetics; it serves a critical function for wildlife photographers and outdoor enthusiasts. By disrupting the lens's outline, it becomes less conspicuous to animals, thus enhancing your ability to capture stunning, undisturbed shots of nature. Sports shooters and photojournalists will also find the discreet nature of the cover beneficial for maintaining a low profile in dynamic environments.
Beyond its protective qualities, the LensCoat Lens Cover acts as an effective thermal barrier. When shooting in colder climates, the neoprene material insulates the lens, ensuring that your hands remain comfortable and your equipment performs optimally, even in lower temperatures.
Durability is a key feature of this lens cover, which boasts a waterproof construction that shields your lens from the elements. Whether you're facing rain, snow, or splashes, your lens remains protected, allowing you to focus on capturing the perfect shot without concern for your gear.
Installation and removal of the cover are designed to be user-friendly, ensuring that you can quickly adapt to changing shooting conditions without fuss. The cover's design leaves no residue, maintaining the pristine condition of your lens's exterior.
Functionality is not compromised with this lens cover. A clear UV-PVC window is strategically placed over the lens controls and distance scale, granting unobstructed access to AF, IS, and VR controls. This thoughtful feature ensures that you can adjust your settings with ease, even with the cover in place.
For photographers who frequently change lenses, the cover includes a colored dot that serves as a guide for aligning the lens with the camera body, streamlining the mounting process. This attention to detail underscores the LensCoat Lens Cover's commitment to both protection and practicality, making it an essential accessory for any Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 EX DG OS APO HSM AF Lens owner looking to enhance their shooting experience while preserving the condition of their equipment.
