I love this scope! Clear glass even in low light, solid feeling clicks in the dials and love the mil-dot reticle. Rugged and durable at a reasonable price.

I am currently in my sixties and I still have a scope from in my teens , 30's, 40's, etc. Keep doing the right things. I also will be purchasing more Leupold products. Warranty is also excellent.

The glass is clear. The turret clicks are nice. Haven't done a tracking test yet. Haven't put it through any courses or anything yet so as for longevity who knows. Seems like a nice optic.

I have two VX-R scopes. Shot 2 deer this year with my 3x9x50 VX-R on my 35 Whelen, one was a nice 127 score buck. I really like the firedot as we hunt early and late and the firedot helps a lot. Made in America is also a good thing.

This is the BEST optic for those early mornings and late PM hours in heavy cover. The dot is bright and really stands out. I finally changed the battery in one of my VX-R scopes after 5 years. I have tried other brands with illuminated reticles and their reticle was weak and unreliable. I replaced those scopes with VX-R's. I have recommended to friends and family. Don't waste your money on other brands .

This is my 5th VX-R Patrol scope. (Gave the others to my sons). The elevation dial can be calibrated to your specific load by using most any ballistic program. I leave the illuminated dot on a higher brightness level which works great when moving between bright and dark backgrounds. Don't waste your money on other brands because you will just come back to the VX-R in the end.

I have this on a Tikka T3. The scope was very easy to get sighted in. Sometimes reticle don't move as they should but the Leupold was perfect. I like the FireDot reticle, It is easy to see in any amount of light.

Bought this to scope a Springfield M1a. Like that the CDS elevation dial works the same way as the rear sight on the M1a, & the wind-plex reticle can be used to estimate target ranges. Oh and did I mention that the illuminated center dot really works in low light conditions.

I purchased my VX R to use with my Ruger Precision .22 WMR and was highly impressed with the ease of set up, and accuracy. I got me 100yd zero and was off to plinking. I've hit targets from 25 and up to 150 yards with ease. I'm having such a great time with it. I plan to explore this sight with me .556 and I'm sure it's gonna be a great time at the range. Price, great matted look, and the red dot allows me to adjust MOA for whatever I want to knock down.

I bought this scope for my Browning BAR. I mounted it on low DNZ mounts and I have plenty of clearance. I have not hunted with it yet, but the scope is very clear and the illumination settings are very easy to use. Your aiming point really stands out in the woods with the illumination. I like the fact that it still works perfectly, with or without, the illumination on. Looking forward to hunting with it this fall.

Love the scope. Mounted on an AR in 6.5 grendel. This is my second scope with CDS system and. An say all my scopes going forward will have it. I only with the fire dot control was a rotating knob instead of a button

Nice scope that looks great on my new Henry level action. The eye relief is prefect for the long stroke of the bolt. I like the option of using or leaving off the central red dot. Controls are easily accessed for a sharp focus. I will normally use the lower magnification, but the high magnification is great during sighting in of the scope.

I received my new VXR 4-12 x 50 in October, I immediately took the mount and scope to the local gunsmith to have the rings lapped and scope mounted. After mounting the scope I had asked the smith to bore sight the scope for me because my old eyes can no longer see out to hundred yards through the barrel. I was in his shop through the process. As soon as he went to adjust the elevation the turret came out in his hand. We could literally look inside of the scope housing. He told me to send it back to Leupold. I did and they repaired it for me. (Great Job) I received my scope back a week before hunting season dialed it in and I'm quite happy. As always the glass is very clear out to the very edge of the lens. Even at twilight or shooting in overcast conditions more than enough light makes its way to the eye. I have noticed at the highest magnifications there is an issue with a little fish eying. (Not too annoying) I really like the red dot makes it very easy to pick up the crosshairs centered I use it on the a lower lit level. I like the feature that turns the dot off when the rifle is in non firing position ,it's quick to light when you bring the rifle up to your shoulder. Nice view box lots of real estate viewable. Other than the turret coming out of this scope I am a satisfied customer. I think the 4 for this scope minus a star for the irritation of having to send a brand new scope back to Leupold for repair is warranted.
